I lost a dear friend today

God does it hurt. I thought I had myself prepared. I thought I would be ok and be glad she is no longer in pain and suffering but still the tears flow.
Cancer just totally sucks. I lost my dad to it Oct 8th, 16 years ago and now a dear friend who is only 45 years old and leaves behind a husband and 2 small children.

Spinning, I SO know how you feel. I'm still not over the passing of a dear friend three years ago and I don't think I ever will be over losing her!! She was 51 and left behind a DH and two sons.

I feel your pain. My bf died 3 yrs ago April at age 42. She told me when she got to heaven she wanted to swing real high so she could feel the wind in her hair again. I let my hair grow long and yesterday I went to the park. Yep, I swang with her. I think of her everyday.

I am so sorry for your loss and your pain. My sympathies sincerely go out to you. I have found the book, "Roses in December" to me a help. Its written by a mother who lost three sons to death. Again, my thoughts and prayers to you.

You are correct: cancer sucks! One of my dearest friends died from a brain tumor almost three years ago. I still miss her terribly. We all believed we had prepared for her leaving us, but not really. I am very sorry about your friend. Sending prayers and pixie dust your way.
