DD12 has been very secretive about Christmas this year, but she let it slip this morning. She's getting him a Chia Pet "because he had to give up his garden and I know he will love this!" I can't wait to see his face. What could I say? The thought is so sweet.

Oh, I would never laugh(and neither will her dad.) We had just had a conversation about how old those Chia pets were, going back at least 35 yrs.I guess she thought he was wishing he had one

I just got back from Target and the dollar section with my 3 and 5 year old. I had bought them presents to give to others and their siblings that were $$...but my five year old cried and cried and insisted that he spend his own money and choose his own gifts. He did fairly well...I think his step grandpa will be thrilled with his light up lollipop...lol.
