What quiet sit down type family restaurants are outside of the WDW compound?
We are thinking about having a light dinner one day outside the parks and our resort with our kids.
Any suggestions?
BTW it really needs to be kid friendly--our kids are 2, 4, and 6mo old!!!
TIA

We took DD4.5 (then nearly 3) to Cafe Tu-Tu Tango on International Drive. They have a kids' menu, crayons to entertain them, and there is plenty of neat stuff for them to look at (art all over the walls, dancers or jugglers coming through, etc)

Crazy Joe's Crab Shack is a lot of fun for everyone, including little ones. It's just beyond Palm Parkway (on 535) when you are heading AWAY from I-4. (Just beyond the Ale House which is at the intersection of SR 535 and County Route 535 and Palm Parkway).

There is a Jungle Jim's in the Crossroad's Plaza, but I've never eaten there so can't vouch for it.

There is a Sweet Tomatoes (buffet) on I-Drive (beyond the Kirkman Rd intersection heading toward the outlets). It's heavy on vegetables and soups with some nice hot entrees (pasta and the like). There's an ice cream bar for dessert, and usually fresh fruit. It's a good place to go if you are trying to get some fresh vegetables into the family!

We've gone to Jungle jim's several times (although not in the last two years). We've always really enjoyed it. They have great burgers and its a kid-friendly, jungle theme place. Although don't expect Rainforest Cafe or anything, it's a LIGHTLY themed place.

We can't go down south without going to the Waffle House. It is great, it's a diner that specializes in waffles, grits etc. Very casual, kid friendly and inexpensive. My kids ages 5 to 22 picked to go there twice last trip. Now it isn't haute cousine but fun and there is one just outside of DTD.
