....you do when you arrive on-site WDW?

We have a tradition - we have to go straight to the MK and have french fries on the balcony of Pinnochio's Village Haus watching the activity over FantasyLand.

Then <i>somebody</i> has to say, "These are the best fries I've ever had in my life."

Tell me your traditions, guys. Give me my WDW fix for the day!

We just got APs and started taking DD, so we have yet to establish any traditions. The first few times we have gone, though, we drop our stuff in the hotel, and argue about where to go. Then, we catch a bus, and someone pouts because we "just missed that one!". Then we get to the park of our choice, and we fight about how to read the map!

But, we really do have a good time! We're taking DD to MK in a few weeks, and will definately do the fry thing!

We proceed directly to the Boardwalk and take a walk from BW to the International Gateway. By the time we get to B&C for milkshakes, the magic has taken hold....

It all depends on our mode of transporation and when we arrive, but as soon as our shuttle or car enters WDW, we yell "We're baaaaaaaack! Hubby always wants to do dinner at Epcot and Illuminations on first night, but last time we stayed at Poly and did 'Ohana and MK first night.

Check the luggage because the room is usually not ready. Then we go have lunch and walk around the resort. We start to relax and laugh and then poof the magic has us.

Arrive, put up the tent, arrange our stuff, catch a chip or dale bus and then jump on a bus to Animal Kingdom. I'm a fan of slipping into the disney experience, slowly, like getting into a hot bath..... Spend the afternoon at AK, IMHO the least over-awing of the parks, then grab a bus to Epcot, grab dinner and ride Spaceship Earth (the very 1st attraction I went on when I was a kid) then grab the monorail over to MK and hit BTMRR and maybe Splash Mountain as the park closes. Grab a chocolate chip ice cream sandwich at Main Street. Wait until they kick us out and then head back to the campsite via the boat to FW, absorbing the warm florida evening, drinking in the smells and sights of the lake at night, and retire early because tomorrow, yes tomorrow will be a very early and very busy day!!!

The first thing we do is when we drive under the WDW sign -- we all start smiling really big! (Okay, I get all choked up!)

Then, we usually we park at the TTC (we can go to resort later), jump on the monorail to MK and head for the Main Street Bake Shop for some goodies. That's when I know we are really there!

Man-o-man, I can hardly wait to do this again!

After checking into the hotel, we seem to always head straight for DTD for shopping and dinner. It's a great way to start the trip. We love to shop! Mickey

Usually I check into the Hotel, grab maps and enetrtainment schedules for all the parks, and proceed to the hotel gift shop while reading the maps. After that I eat at the hotel food court (either breakfast or lunch, depending on when I get there).

I check into my resort, take pictures of the room for the DIS, then turn on the TV to the WDW tour channel. Then I usually change clothes and head to 'Ohana at the Poly for dinner. Really gets me in the Disney spirit.

When we get to our room, we race to see who gets the bathroom 1st! Then, we usually explore our resort area, look for places to eat, and it's off to explore WDW!

Actually, there's usually some grumbling, argueing, and pouting going on. This one's hungry, this one's not hungry, this one wants to visit a park, this one wants to swim, this one wants to go to the LEGO store, this one wants to watch TOONDisney, this one wants to visit an arcade (NOW!), this one doesn't need to use the bathroom (despite holding himself and doing the "little boy pee-pee dance" ), this one......


Can you believe there are only 3 of us (mom, DH, DS)...

After we check in, we head directly to the MK and ride the TTA. We used to ride the Peoplemover first at DL too. Then we check the line for Space, if it's short we ride, if it's long we get a FP, then we go on the Haunted Mansion and then go in the Christmas shop, and then get lunch at the Columbia Harbor House. After that, we know we're really at WDW.

When we arrive tomorrow afternoon, after checking in to the resort, we will go straight to the Magic Kingdom, in through the security checkpoint, past the ticket takers, advance to Main Street and gaze lovingly at the Castle gleaming in the sunlight as I fight the tears welling up in my eyes so as not to look like a complete idiot bawling my face off. Then we're going to Casey's for a hot dog.
