I know it's trivial but....(pity party) PD LONG POST!!! You've been warned!

I sitting here with tears streaming down my face, ridiculous huh. You can't believe what I did..... Months ago my DH came home from work saying he wanted to go to see Prince....

Sick and all I got up and ordered tickets from tickemaster for Club seats that cost $75.00ea, I wasn't excited at first but after weeks of my station playing his music I little by little started to get happy about our decision.... Well after the week from h*ll, my DSIL deciding to go to Aruba and leave her 2 yr old with my DMIL who we live with!!!!(how much do you think a 64 yr old woman is going to watch a 2 yr old?)

And both of my SIL's being on the computer here tonight with my DN2 upstairs @ 9:55 my DH pulls out our tickets for tomorrow nights show only to find the concert is tonight!!!

I'm so bummed, DH wanted to buy more tickets but I refuse to pay 300.00 to see anyone!

Can anyone tell me they've done something equally as stupid?

That is the pits -- I would upset, too.

I also would be upset if MIL wasn't watching the child if she had committed to doing it. Exactly why wouldn't a 64-year-old woman watch a 2-year-old?

I'm trying real hard to think of something I've done to compare this to...but I can't. If it means anything to you, you missed all those crazy fans with purple hair and purple clothes down in Boston. That would have been a sight, huh?



Hope things get better as the week goes on. Maybe a trip to Aruba is in your future, too?

You gotta just laugh... ouch I would be crying too though. Maybe you can write a pitty letter to Prince a real good sob story and maybe next time he's in town... I know I'm dreaming but you never know.

Shelled out $75 for a Clay Aiken concert in two weeks. DW loves that guy. At least you warmed up to Prince after listening to the radio. I haven't warmed up to Clay yet. Might have to bring the earplugs.

The last time Prince was in town, he charged admission for fans to watch him eat at a local restaurant. I couldn't believe it. He didn't even talk to his fans or play a tune or two.

That might do it orvilleair. DH & I don't go to too many things. We save all our $$ for Disney! I wouldn't pay to watch anyone eat!

Your a good DH for bringing your DW to see someone she likes!

P.S. don't put the earplug in the ear that is closest to her.... might cause problems if she sees it!

We managed to salvage but I'll tell you about my biggest goof. I got a call from my SIL in Lubbock one morning asking where I was, turns out I was a week off on my vacation schedule. I was supposed to be meeting them in Lubbock (6 hrs away) that day to go to Montana. I happened to be off work, took me an hour to get somethings thrown in the car. Called work and told them I needed to change my schedule but would bring my laptop with me and left. I managed to catch up with them in Oklahoma where I left my car at a 24 hour station.

That was 3 years ago and I still get grief about it from co-workers family and everyone else who knows.

They all do make sure that I know when I'm supposed to be there though!

Thanks Janette. It's comforting knowing I'm not the only one who is extremely forgetful.

I have yet to forget an upcoming vacation, I am trying to forget some that I have taken though?
