"I know! I'll turn him into a duck!..." Or, I could just start my Dec 2010 PTR.

I just caught up on your PTR and your plans sound great! I would love to have a huge family trip to WDW. I'm planning a 2 week birthday extravaganza for my DS when he turns 5 (just under 3 years to go lol!) and I am hoping that some friends and family will be able to com eand go for a few days here and there during that time period.

That ultrasound is AWESOME! I didn't have one when I was pregnant, but I did get a video of the ultrasound/sonagram thingie. Now that DS is fully immersed in the terribleness of the two's... I'm missing those days when I was preggers and uncomfortable :rotfl:

I wish I could get DS to watch movies other than Up, Cars and Toy Story! He has watched Nemo and Monsters Inc, but the movie he watches from beginning to end, as many times as possible, without blinking is Up. I'm trying to expose him to others so he can have some character recognition!

Well, I'm tuned in for the rest! Keep it coming, I need ways to pass these upcoming months!:surfweb:

Welcome! :yay: We're really excited about the big family trip, but like I've said it will definitely be a different expereince than what I've had before. I know it will be a lot of fun, though!

We may miss this time when the two's come along for Lucy, but right now DW just wants her to come.

Two straight weeks at Disney is a dream of mine! That should be a fun trip! Three years would make for a long PTR, though (hehe)!

Maybe it's the music that keeps your son attentive in Up! It has a lot of good music in the background that sets the mood for the story throughout. I saw from your PTR that he also liked Princess and the Frog, which I think has strong background music as well. Of course, the bright colors and the ballons might have something to do with it too. Have you tried watching WALL-E or Ratatouille with him? Those two wouldn't really help him recognize more characters at the park, though.

I'll get more updates out when I come up with something to write about. Right now, the next big couple of steps are airfare (when SW releases fares for mid-December) and ADR's (22 June)!

HI!! Joining in :goodvibes I saw you on another Dec PTR! I just started my own too (link in siggy). I am booking the CP package as well! Crossing my fingers for Le Cellier but we will see!! Looking forward to hearing about your plans popcorn::

Welcome! :yay: This will be our first time seeing the CP and we're really looking forward to it. If we can get Le Cellier, that will be a first for us too! :)

Hi! We are going in December 2010, too! We are really excited to be there during Christmas.

To give an opinion on your earlier question about the Character Meal...I would chose Crystal Palace over Ohana's. Our fav's are Chef Mickey's and Crystal Palace. My DH loved the food at Crystal Palace and he can't wait to go back. We didn't have a good experience at Ohana's so no ADR for this trip.

Hi! :yay: Christmas is going to be a really fun time to go! Thank you for your advice! :) I've found people on the boards who really love Ohana and then those that have had really bad experiences. It's going to be a tough decision.

I spent a lot of time yesterday crunching numbers to figure out if the Dining Plan would be a good idea for us on our trip. As it turns out, I don't think it would be. We're only planning a few TS meals so the regular DDP is out, but we're going to enough TS meals to make the QSDP not worth it either.

The upside of all the number crunching is that it gave me a pretty solid number for food budgeting. My guesstimate for our food budget turned out to be spot on. I think part of me likes it better, though when I'm dealing with estimates because then I can kind of ignore how much money I'm actually spending on food. I'm a huge foodie and I have no problems splurging on food (especially for Disney) because I know it's well worth it. It's just initial "sticker shock," which since last night I am already over.

Planning did take a step backward last night, though, because now we're not sure we want to do Sanaa for dinner on Christmas. I had read that there were safe (i.e. boring :)) choices for the nonadventurous types, which will be some of our party. After finally looking at the menu last night, DW and I didn't see a whole lot that we think her family would be willing to try. We sent them the menu and some reviews from the DIS. I'm hoping they'll agree to go since DW and I really want to try it. Still, it's time for a back-up plan. We need a good place for a relaxed, but fun TS that is not in a park for us to eat dinner Christmas. We're open to really any kind of food, but we will need at least some nonadventurous choices. We had considered Boma but we're worried Christmas dinner will be too busy for a buffet. PLEASE provide suggestions! :)

You could always do Whispering Canyon Cafe at WL. I have never been there but the menu looks safe and delicious and then you could see WL on Christmas day. Everyone says it is the most beautiful at Christmas. It would be nice to sit around that big fireplace after dinner!

Hi!! I found your PTR off of Katie's PTR!! We're going to WDW Nov. 27/28-Dec.4/5 (still deciding on exact dates). We cannot WAIT to be at WDW around Christmastime!! :santa:

Thanks for the idea! Whispering Canyon is one of our stronger options now. From what I've been able to find, on Christmas there's a special menu that is only the skillet with typical holiday food (turkey, green beans, etc.). Even if we don't eat there, we will probably visit WL to look at decorations that day. I'm also considering Ohana for dinner which seems safer than Sanaa. I've read some pretty mixed reviews, though. Ohana is on my list of places I would like to try at least once.

Hi! :) Christmastime is going to be so great at WDW! It seems so far away right now, but I know it'll be here before we know it.

What about Whispering Canyon Cafe or Artist Point for Christmas dinner??? I love WC and have heard on various boards that many people really enjoy AP for holiday dinners! Well there's my two cents for the day!!! :rotfl:

Thanks for the advice! That's two votes so far for WC. We are definitely considering it. I haven't had a chance to look into Artist Point yet. It's been a busy last couple of days as you will see from my next update. :)

Well, it's been a hectic couple of days! If I could be sleeping right now, I would be, but since I have to be awake, the DIS boards are a good place to be.

It all started Saturday. I mentioned before that we are moving into a new house soon. We've had the keys for about a week and have been slowly moving stuff over. The downside of having keys to two houses is that I have two lawns to maintain. Most of my Saturday consisted of mowing two overgrown lawns. That was the boring part of the day. Just as I was finishing up the second lawn, my wife informed me that she had started having consistent contractions. You can probably see where this is going! :) We killed some time and then when DW was ready, we headed to the hospital.

Lucy was born the following morning! :yay::yay::yay::yay: She is a beautiful baby girl!! I will try and post a few pics once we get them loaded onto the computer. Lucy was born in time for me to go pick up DMIL from the airport. She is staying for a week to help us with the baby and the move.

We came home from the hospital yesterday afternoon and have some busy time ahead of us. Thankfully, Lucy is really well behaved so far. She's been quiet but playful and is sleeping really well. We spent a lot of last night getting ready for the movers to come today. They started packing our stuff up this morning and we should be unpacking our stuff in our new home on Thursday. I am sitting at our old house monitoring the movers. DW and DMIL are at the new house. DMIL is painting the room that we need painted and DW is watching over DD. This is an exciting time for us but I'm looking forward to the chance to get some rest, which I'm thinking will be about 18 years from now! ;)

I hope to find some time in the next few days to get back to Disney planning. It will be nice to talk over details with DMIL while she is here and I need to get ready for my ADR date which is rapidly approaching. At least with a newborn, getting up early to make ADR's won't be a problem. I'll already be up!! :):)

Aww!!! Congrats!!! A new baby, what a wonderful joy! But, be prepared for my sleepless nices, but well worth it! :woohoo:

Congratulations!! :dance3: :cool1: :cheer2: :woohoo: :yay:

I'm so happy for you and your growing family! I can't wait to see pictures of your beautiful new DD!

Thank you! Lucy has been absolutely wonderful! :yay::yay: Also, for a newborn I think she's actually sleeping really well at night. Most nights she'll sleep for 2 hours, then 4 hours, then 2 hours again. There've been a few nights, though where she's up most of the night. I'll admit that DW is taking the brunt of the tough nights. I'm doing my best to help at night and take a bigger portion of the baby responsiblities during the day. Still, when it comes down to it, DW is being an amazing mom and wife. I am truly blessed to have her! :)

I know I promised pics of Lucy three weeks ago (I can't believe she's three weeks old already!), but as you can imagine the last few weeks have been pretty busy. We are settled into our new house, though, which is nice. DMIL was here for two weeks after Lucy was born and my parents came for a weekend and they helped tons with the move and with Lucy.

My plan is to get pics up on Photobucket and then here tomorrow sometime. I also have a few updates that I need to write. Until then! :)

As promised, here are pics of Lucy! :yay:

Since I was posting pics, I figured I would post pics of our house's Disney decorations. I didn't realize until yesterday how much Disney stuff is in our nursery.

I love all of your Disney stuff! One of these days when I have a baby I want to make a Winnie the Pooh nursery!
