My daughter just had our first grandchild and he is now a year old and we are looking to go back to start a Disney tradition with him in 2021 so I know I have time and I am looking at the construction around the Caribbean resort and its saying beyond 2019 would you still plan a trip at this resort? This is where she wants to stay

My daughter and her family stayed there two years ago and liked it very much. You would hope the construction would be done by then!
Being a grandparent is wonderful, isn’t it? That first trip with your grandson will be so much fun!

Yes I would. I stayed there during the construction last summer and it did not impact our trip in any negative manner. I would not hesitate to book there again

A lot can change in 3 years. It's kind of early to plan a trip. But you can focus on saving for it. The construction at CBR should be complete by then but who knows what kind of impact the new DVC high rise will have on the resort?

I think it's sort of vague at the moment because while the Skyliner will be done around May 2019, the new resort that will also be on the grounds is not scheduled to be done closer to 2020 I think. I can't imagine they would have the resort in flux for 4 years or more. It's a big project but if I was a betting person, I'd say 2021 you'd be safe. ( It's an awesome resort, BTW )

I think you are going to drive yourself nuts trying to anticipate construction around a particular resort three years from now.
