Even though we've been to WDW several times, we will be staying on property for the first time in June. I started out thinking I would book a value...after all, how much time are we going to spend in the room? Then I found the DIS, and started reading about other options. Decided POFQ sounded perfect for the 2 of us...quiet, small, possible to take a boat ride. Great! Then I got on the WDW website, discovered the
DDP, and realized I could do Wilderness Lodge for just a little more than POFQ, and not have to suffer with a double bed. Perfect! That seemed like the choice for us, so I finally made a reservation.
Meanwhile, over in the indecisive part of my brain, there's this irritating little voice talking to me..."You know you've always liked the looks of the Yacht & Beach Clubs. How much more could it be?" Finally I decided to shut the voice up. I found that for only $175 more we could stay at the resort I've wanted to stay at since I ate there in the early 90's...the Yacht Club. Needless to say I found myself on the phone with the CRO
AGAIN so I could change my reservations from WL to YC. The only thing I had to give up was a "view." Our room at the WL was a courtyard, and I booked a standard view at the YC.
I think I'll leave well enough alone now. I feel like the YC is going to be a good fit for us...it's just the 2 of us, we'll only be spending one day in the MK, and I love the proximity to World Showcase from the resort.
