I am trying to put my plan in place. I have 2 small children and I want to make this as easy as possible.

How are EMH mornings? I know to avoid EMH Evenings.

The early morning hours can be good to ride/see normally busy attractions, but by noon the park will become very crowded. For example, if you went to MK you could probably ride Space/Splash/Big Thunder and possibly others before the park got too busy.

If we go to an early morning park, we'll stay until 11:00 or so and then hop to a different park.

We have always been EMH fans...I have tried the EMH for evenings 2 different trips and hated it...way to crowded....

I know to stay away from the evenings... Just curious about more opinions on the extra magic mornings? We never stay past 12-1 because I have 2 little ones that need naps.

We went to *EVERY* EMH at night during Easter week and did not experience high crowds. I am not sure why. lol.

I love the early mornings :goodvibes
It is exciting to enter the parks first thing in the morning...a different feeling than entering when crowds are already everywhere, if that makes sense? I agree that by noon the park fills up, but by then I have done most things I wanted to and simply head to another park.If you have little ones I think the early mornings would be perfect for you.

it's the best thing since sliced bread. I haven't done the EMHE yet but based on what I hear I may not want to. In the mornings we hit the "must do" list and then can putter around or even park hop. I recommend it highly since you have two little ones...they'll have you up anyway if they are like mine were. :earsboy:

We love early mornings also. We hit them during Spring Break & were able to ride all our must-do's by 11-12 when it started to get busy. That same time frame, Extra Evening Hours were horrible.

We were just there a few weeks ago and took advantage of some of the morning EMH (MK, MGM, AK). All worked out great! We got more done in the first few hours the park was open than the whole rest of the day. The lines were short, so we were able to ride some things over and over, like BTM in MK. We leave the parks usually around lunchtime anyway to go for a swim at the hotel, so I'm not sure if they got more crowded than usual as the day went on. They were definitely much more enjoyable than the evening EMH. :flower:

We're planning on staying at the parks until the afternoon (3-4ish). In that case, should we not go on EMH mornings and go on a day with no EMH? We're not park hopping, one park per day. We won't do any EMH nights because my son goes to bed between 7:30 and 8:00 pm. So, if it gets really crowded from 11 on, should I not go on days with EMH mornings since I'm going to spend most of the day at that park?

Do you think the high crowds during evening EMH is due to time of year? WIll it be the same end of Oct?

I see that you are going the first week of October. We have been there that same week for the past few years. I highly recommend EMH mornings at MK, especially with young kids. We can finish all of Fantasyland attractions except for Philharmagic during the early hour, which makes EMH so worthwhile there. During the next hour (regular admission first hour) we hit other big rides. Even though the park gets busy around 11:00, we have finished all the major attractions, so the crowds don't really affect us.

EMH morning at Epcot and MGM are worthwhile for the thrill rides in October since the park hours are somewhat shorter than at busier times of year. We probably won't do EMH mornings at AK any more because the place is jam packed and I think it actually takes a lot longer to do things there on EMH mornings than regular mornings.

Just my opinion - hope it helps!
