I know DCL prices are steep, but $2 million??

The 1 bedroom concierge price on our Dec 26th cruise is $45K and that's not a mistake. Not even the Roy suite, 'just' the 1 BR. o_O

It amazes me what people spend money on when they have it. For that amount you could charter a nice mini yacht many places around the world. Not a super yacht but a damn good boat

The price does change based on the number of people and ages. We are in a standard concierge for our april sailing, and with the insurance it's just over $20k for 2 adults and 2 kids, for the 1 bedroom it's a hair over $30k, and the Roy O. is looking at close to $40k. Now, at Christmas it would obviously be more, but if it were just my husband and I we could subtract nearly $5k off the price for all the rooms, if it were just myself and the kids with no husband it's like sailing with my huband without the kids (but it's 3 people instead of 2). You never know how much anyone has paid for any room, we could fit 1 more person in our room and I can say I might not want to pay that much.

That's insane! Is that Easter week? I know a lot can depend on the ship and itinerary but $30k for the 1 BR?

4 people, concierge level, it’s what I expect. There are a lot of perks, extras, that’s what I pay for. I don’t think it’s Easter week, but it is our spring break week so I’m sure it’s some sort of peak cruise time for them.

We have 4 people going in Feb - 1 BR and it's NOWHERE near 30K.

Well you are in a slow season so it will be cheaper, Feb is a time most people don’t cruise (I know we couldn’t even if we wanted to due to schedules). I see prices starting sometime in March going through summer for concierge being comparable or more, time of year definitely makes a difference. Also, the length of trip matters. A 3 or 4 night is going to be cheaper than our 7 night, and our 7 night would be cheaper than one of the longer trips.

I'm not comparing 3 or 4 nights to a 7. Price per night is still a huge difference. We've also done a Very Merrytime (which are always high) for a lot less than that. I guess they really are trying to make up for lost revenue! As long as you're happy with it, that's all that matters. Enjoy! (As far as Feb - that's a winter break time for many schools in our area - even flights TO FL can be very high then.)

I’m also not staying in a 1br, we are just in the standard veranda concierge room because I wasn’t paying $30k for that room, I was just saying how much it cost. There is a decent $10k+ jump between rooms, and I couldn’t stomach that for a little square footage. There was less of a jump between that and the BIG rooms, if I was paying that much I’d just pay a few thousand more and go for the big boys.
We are in GA and only get one long weekend (presidents weekend) off, we have an easy drive down but most of the schools here get no more than a 3 day weekend. I think Disney still kinda considers it slow. I just had a look for the same itinerary during February and all the rooms, not just concierge, are considerably cheaper. Heck, the same room we would have had for a 4 night very merry time cruise is cheaper (and this is a longer cruise).
