DD11 and I went for a girls night out tonight. When we were driving home, I mentioned to her that there was a helicopter near our home with bright lights on. It looked like it was going to land and maybe do an emergency evacuation. I figured there was probably a car crash somewhere.
So here I am watching the news, they said there was a plane crash in Bucks County, and it narrowly missed a house. It clicked......oh my, what if that is what the helicopter was for. We live near a small airport and there are small planes that go over our house year round.......especially in the summer. I have always had that in the back of my mind, but you try not to think about things like that. I grew up in Las Vegas, and pretty much no matter where you were in town, there was a good chance there was a plane overhead. Almost all day and night too!
Well sure enough, the plane crashed in our township. From the newsclip, it looked like it crashed near the airport. It just makes you really realize how fragile life is. The two people are in critical condition one was burned real bad. The entire plane was engulfed in flames. It also brings a lump in your throat when you think about what if it had crashed near or on our house. What if we would have came home to find our house gone my husband and son hurt. It just really makes you appreciate your family even more. Life is way too fragile!
