Ok, in 13 days we are checking in at POP. Have stayed there before and I had a great time, so, I'm looking foward to POP. We chose POP this time for many reasons:

1. My best friend is staying there and the poor soul is paying rack rate, so, she did not want to upgrade.(I can totally understand her)

2. In the next 2 months we are buying a new house and a rental property.

3. I want new furniture for my new house.

So, I got a great rate at POP 2 months ago and I decided that I was not going to upgrade the reservation for the reasons stated above. My DH is amazed that I have not tried to upgrade our hotel.. I guess he knows me well We are staying at POP from May 19-24.

Here is my dilemma..we are coming in a day earlier and I'm considering staying at a deluxe for that one night. We are doing the evening EMH at MK on that day, so, I'm seriously considering the Poly or the Grand Floridian I know, i know from POP to the GF.. what am I thinking?? Now, seriously we can afford it and I would love the convenience of being next to the MK. The next day we can have breakfast at Kona (Yum!!) and spend the day at the pool. When my best friend and her family arrives we meet them at POP and check in together to increase the chances of having our room close to each other (we already linked our reservations). Also, we don't mind moving after 1 night. We are kind of nomads anyway!!

Would you do this?? or Would you just stay at POP the whole time? DH isn't coming with us, so, he does not care what I decide to do. I can't decide and I have to make up my mind soon!! I really appreciate your feedback!!

I would totally do that. Like you said, you'll be doing EMH and being just a monorail ride away from the resort will be great. And you're right about increasing your chances of being near each other if you check in at the same time. Great plan!

I'd do it. They always say not to go from deluxe to mod or value but since you are meeting your friends I don't think you'll have that problem. ALso it sounds like a good plan for MK EMH and a nice breakfast and time by the pool. Go for it!
