I haven't been around for a while, just with my recent trips to Tokyo Disneyland and Disney World I've been trying to land a job with my Computer Science Degree. I've finally landed a really good paying job (good for being fresh out of University). It puts a hold on my wanting to work at WDW for a year, but I'm still young so that could still happen in the future.

I was going through Expedia just wondering how much it would cost to fly to LA this weekend. It was rather cheap (for flying out of Northern Canada) and I thought...."Well I'm starting this new job in less than 2 weeks and more than likely my vacations days won't be used in September/October so it would be hard to see Halloween in any Disney Park".

So after a few hours of thinking, I went and booked my flight to LA. I have a friend that lives there so I will be staying with him. Then we are going to head to Disneyland for two days! I'm so excited! I've *always* wanted to see any Disney Park during Halloween and now I'll get to!

This will be my third Disney Park trip this year, my wallet hates me, but it's all going to be worth it!

I fly out tomorrow morning and return on Tuesday. This has to be one of the most spontaneous things I've done. I usually plan things well in advance and work out the details.

One more Disney visit before I start my career! My boyfriend created a monster with taking me to WDW back in May. MWHAHAH!

so freaking jealous.....er happy for you! LOL. have an awesome time! (seriously)

Yay!! That's kinda what I did for my trip to see the parks decorated for Halloween, just not such short notice. I thought about it over a weekend and then booked it but don't leave for a month. Hope you have a great weekend at DL!!

That's wicked !! Go For It!!! I've been to wdw and dl for halloween season and next up is dlrp in about a month I love halloween decor!!

My trip is now done! I had a blast and very happy that I went. Had a lot of attractions go out of service on us, not sure of the reasons. But other then that it was great.

I also found out the hard way that LA transit is horrid....

I'll make a trip report for everyone and link it! Lots of photos and video to share!! mwhahah.

Sounds like a great decision. Hope to read the rest soon.

Sorry I took so long to write up my trip report. The new job has got me pretty busy and I'm not too used to waking up early in the morning so I've been tired in the evenings. But I was able to get the first day written up for all of you! Hope you guys enjoy!

This spontaneous trip was the best decision ever! My boyfriend is going to Disneyland tomorrow (Oct 17th) since he's down there for a Conference. He wasn't going to go cause I wasn't there but I told him since I did a solo trip last month it's only fair that he does! I'll bug him to post photos for you all!

Oh and here's the trip report thread: http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=2577446

Glad you got to experience DL and had such a good time. It seems when it rains it pours, when it comes to attractions shutting down for technical difficulties. One trip we'll never have one attraction shut down, another trip it will happen a few times. Luck of the draw I guess.

i love your pumpkin micky avatar. Where did you get it or you made it yourself?

It seemed that is poured the entire time I was there! But I didn't let it ruin my time, I still had a blast. Things stop working or break down, not much I can do about it.

Although a small part of me was a bit relieved that Screamin' was down, since I was nervous to ride it myself haha.

Screamin' is probably one of the best roller coasters of it's type around. It's like a smooth riding wooden coaster with a loop. The on board music just adds to it. It's quite long too. We ride it numerous times when we're there. One of the best. Give it a try next time. :)
