It's seems like these days all I can think about is getting back to WDW. Anyone else feel this way? I know I don't want to live there but I wish I could go more often. How do you deal others deal with these feelings?

We have a trip planned to Disneyland Paris in July but that's just not cutting it. It seems as though I need a trip planned for WDW at all times.

I am at the point that I don't care which resort I stay in- heck I'd stay in a cardboard box as long as it was on site. We spent a total of about a month at WDW in 2005 alone and it still isn't enough for me.

Is there a 12 step program for this??!!!!

you know i am the same way...i am planning our next trip for december..we are hooked...hi my name is cyndi and i too have an obsession or addiction to disney...

I hear ya. We spent 8 nights in WDW in April. It was the best trip yet. I've since started college. My mom and stepdad are DVC members, so they'll probably be going back in 2007 (that's when they'll have enough points again), but I'm not sure whether they'll go at a time when I could go or not (summer or Christmas). That's the lousy thing about college; spring break doesn't match up with the February or April vacations that my sister, stepsister and mom all have. Even if they do go back in 2007 I'm still trying to figure out a way to get back before that. But I don't see that happening. I'm in constant planning mode though, for any potential trip. One of my roommates and another friend though really like the idea of going down there some winter break, so maybe I can convince them to go down next January (2007). We'll see what unfolds.

I think it is called the DIS board!! Isn't that why we are all here?

I know exactly how you feel... I watched the parade today and all I could keep saying is "wow... I sure would love to be there!".. or "wow.. wouldnt it be cool to be there this time of year?" Im sure everyone in the house got tired of me saying it! :goodvibes

But truthfully.. I would love to be at WDW right now.. We are planning on going for 10 days in May/June so right now thats what Im looking forward to.. I wish I could afford for us to go for a short trip between now and then.. something like flying out on Thursday and coming back on Sunday.. That would make me sooooo happy, but for now I will just spend my time on the boards.. Truth be told ... I get jealous when I see other people post that they are leaving for WDW or when they post how they just got back.. :rotfl: :rotfl: I'm happy for them, but jealous at the same time.. :sunny: Thats why I got my daughter the Magic Kingdom game for Christmas.. That way I can visit MK at anytime.. :wizard: but I cant wait till its me posting that Im leaving.. :earsgirl: :earsboy: :earsgirl:

Just back 5 days ago and wish I was still there. Seriously considering employment at WDW (if the pay was better)

I'm to the point that I wouldn't mind living there. Think about it no more snow, cold weather. I would be around all the characters daily. I would be close to the happiest place on earth. Man I want to move to Orlando so bad. Besides I have relatives there too.

It's been 18 months since I have been there and I sooooo am in need of a fix :)
I don't know when I will get back. sigh.

I was going to post something similar. I was never interested in WDW, EVER. I'm just not a "happy happy joy joy" kind of person and I always thought WDW was too sappy and too much for kids. I grew up with the Mickey Mouse club and the Wonderful World of Disney movies -- enjoyed a lot of that as a kid, but I was just never interested in WDW and really not all that much into Mickey. Every year, DH would bring up maybe taking a trip and I just wasn't into it, but this past year I decided to go along with it since it seemed to mean so much to him.

WOW. I don't know what got into me, but between the Disboards, TGM, the Unofficial Guide, Passporter, and Birmbaum's, I went NUTS. The Disney magic has taken hold of me and I can't see it letting go any time soon. :wizard:

When we took our first trip in June, I've never had a happier experience in my life (with the exception of my wedding day). Ever since we came home from that trip, I've been pining away for the day we can go back. We're hoping to be able to go back every year from now on. We're planning for the spring, but that all depends -- we also want to buy a house (our first) and that just might take up all our available funds, but we'll see. I really want to make it happen.

I feel your pain too :sad2: ten days in May and six in Sept. both were wonderful trips with my family. Now we have to wait unti Dec.06 :hourglass for our Disney cruise :boat: and world trip.
It's going to be a loooong wait anyway, I have Disneyworld dvds that keep me thinking about the world and I come here to the boards as well.
When i get the "I miss the world" feeling I pop one of the dvds in sit back and watch the world go by.
Next thing I know we'll be there. YAHOOOO!!!!!! :Pinkbounc :cheer2:

BEEN THERE, DONE THAT, GOING BACK!!!!! :cool1:

Oh, I feel your pain!!!!! My birthday is Sat. 1/14 and my DS's is Mon. 1/16. He is out of school for MLK Day and that would make a 3-day weekend.

I have always wanted to go to WDW for my birthday but never have made it with school schedules, etc.... I had hoped that airfare would be cheap but it is not. I find myself checking daily for surprise bargains but it is still over $350/pp. Not a good rate for 3 days!

We usually go for Christmas but will make it this year.

I sooooooooo want to be there, too!!!!!

I think about WDW all the time and how I can get back. On Christmas day the only thing that could have had me jumping for joy gift wise would have been a suprise trip to WDW!! Can you imagine that under the tree? I don't think anything could be better than that. Not anything!!

Been there,
Done that,
When the heck can I go back!!!!!??????? :earseek:

I'm right there with ya!

We were there in April of this year for 2 weeks,
we got AP's but money is very tight right now.
Even DS (who had just turned 2) is asking about
riding Buzz again *sigh*.

I know I have until mid-April to get there, but
I WANT TO PLAN A TRIP RIGHT NOW!! (Stomps feet!).

Ok, tantrum over - at least for the moment...
For now I am obsessed with reading the trip-planning boards & dreaming.

Me too! Me too! Me too!

We went last March and decided to go back again October 2006. Right now it feels like forever! It had gotten better, but then DH had to go and give me the unofficial guide and Birbaum's 2005 guide and now it's fueled all over again!

I have dreams about it! Seriously!

Oh I am SOOOOOOO obsessed right now ! lol :rotfl: Come on Tax season!!!! :earboy2:

Right now I am in the process of compiling a list of vacation homes to chose from in January when we do book. What a daunting task! hehe

LOL I thought I was the only one who "Dreamed in Disney". :teeth: Though my subconsious mind mixes up WDW with our Niagara Falls trips. hehe

I was there less than 3 months ago and I want to go back! I have to admit that I love the whole planning part of the trip. The anticipation that builds up while planning the trip is so much fun!

I'm now tentatively planning another trip for next December...sigh...a whole year away.
