We are going in Aug. I already have reservations to Hard Rock Hotel for our first two nights to get into see Harry Potter early and be able to us ethe express pass for staying on site if we need to. Since we are staying onsite for thoese two nights We get the express pass with the hotel? I do not need to buy the tickets throuh Universal? I plan on buying the Orlando flex pass since we will also be going to Seaworld.

You can buy tickets anywhere you wish as long as they are a valid ticket. The hotel express pass is your hotel key card. They will be issued to everyone in the room. They have name, age, hotel, and if you have charging privileges indicated on them. They are totally separate from the tickets.

Blue is correct. We just returned and used tix that I bought over a year ago. I loved having the Express not on my park tix. It's great to use your tix then put it away for the whole day!

Have a great time at HP. It is so awesome and staying onsite is so worth it.
