I just walked into a door. Nice.

I took the nightlight out of the kitchen because it actually burned a hole into the back of the plastic covering (:scared1:), so it's pitch black all throughout the apartment. The bedroom door was open and I was heading to the computer room when I walked smack into the corner of the door face first. My cheek is throbbing and hurts. Hopefully, I'll have a nice big bruise tomorrow so I can get out of Easter dinner with my inlaws and their friends ;)

I hope you're okay.

Oh no, Gurgi!!! That sounds like it hurt! I hope you don't have a shiner in the morning! :)

LOL...I'm really hoping there's a mark of some kind so I have a good excuse to get out of dinner!!! :rotfl2:

But I wouldn't want to go to work looking beat up ;)

Don't feel too bad. I do stuff like that ALL the time. Once, I was going to the bathroom in the middle of the night, the hallway was dark and I could have SWORN I left my bathroom door open but alas...it wasn't. I smacked so hard into it that I was knocked back onto my butt :headache:

I felt like such a dork :lmao:

I am so glad I am not the only one who does those things. I am normally not klutzy (how do you spell klutzy??) but sometimes....

Yesterday I was bending down to get a bag that was hanging off a doorknob and hit my head on the corner of the wall that sticks out. OUch! It is still sore. My husband just looked at me and laughed. Maybe that is because last month, I forgot to bend enough to get into the car and ran my head into the top of the car and broke my glasses! But really, I swear I am not klutzy!

ppssstttt.... there is this new invention, don't tell anyone because then EVERYONE will want it but it is called electricity. You have these lever things on your walls and you move them up and down and it turns on this light thing in the ceiling and you can actually SEE in the dark, sshhh, though, we don't want this to get around, ok :lmao: :rotfl2: :lmao: .

I hope you don't hurt too bad, but JUST bad enough to get out of your brunch!

Welcome to my world. Nothing is safe from my walking smack into it. Nothing I tell you.

Don't feel bad. My dh now just expects me to fall or walk into things on a daily basis. One time a few months ago I was going to be sick (morning sickness) and I ran down the hall to get to the bathroom and overshot the bathroom and smacked right into the wall! I never even slowed down! So of course now I was crying because I thought for sure that my head was going to explode and I still had to vomit! This was in the middle of the day so plenty of light here! Sorry to hijack but just wanted you to know that some of us (me) consider walking into things a partof our normal routine. I hope you feel better. If you do get stuck going to the in-laws you can always make up a story about how your spouse pushed you out of bed in their sleep!:lmao:

You are definately not alone. Yesterday I slipped going up the stairs and fell back down. My dh said I looked just like the kids do when they go down on their bellies. It wasn't any fun and didn't feel so great. That is just one of the many clumsy things I've done this week alone.

You poor thing! I feel your pain... a couple of years ago, we had a power outage, and I walked straight into a wall -- and broke my nose!

Yes, I am in the klutzy club too..

Hope you're okay! I have those 'cool to the touch' light nites without an exposed bulb. I keep them all over the house. They are great! I'm such a klutz and now that I have a 2 story house, they're a mandatory item to have!
