I just read a funny but sad book...

I see a book review in our local paper over the weekend. I just happen to be at the bookstore where I search it out... On Monday with my 5 chrubs and their 2 cousins running around the house, watching movies, laughing and yelling I sit down and begin to read this book. Marley and Me the life and love of the world's worst dog. This book is truly one of the funniest reads, if you love dogs and even if you just kind of like them . Warning though at the end do not sit and read the last few chapters with said cherubs and cousins running too and fro! At one point it got awfully quiet and I looked up to see 3 of them staring at me as I laughed and cried at the same time. A two thumbs up read!

I really want to read that book, but I'm afraid I'll just sob in the sad parts. I can't take anything sad about animals.

Wasn't that a great read? I've read it, my uncle, my Grandma and as of yet no one has been disappointed.

Yes! My mother loaned it to me to read on a plane flight, knowing how much I hate planes--she thought it might keep me entertained enough that I wouldn't get so nervous about flying. She was right!!

Fantastic read; reminded me so much of our late husky, Blue.

Um, what is a "chrub?"

I was wondering the same until the end of the post it reads, "cherub".

It just must have been a typo. At first I thought it was some kind of term for a bad child like, stinker, or rascal.....I was going to have to look it up.

ETA: I may have to start calling ds a chrub!

I am reading that book and I absolutely love it! I have an 85 pound female yellow Labrador that looks just like Marley, and has behaved in similar ways on occasion. It has made me laugh out loud so many times, because I can totally relate! I read ahead to the sad parts, so I know what's coming and I'm prepared.

I read this book last week. It was so funny. Marley reminds me alot of our Annabelle. She is a wild unmanageable girl. It is a great book but sad.
