I just want to make sure I get this. This is like a regular bank (only better), but you deal with them online. You transfer money between your checking account & ING to deposit and withdraw. To withdraw, is it instantly transferred to your checking or does it take a few days? Any other fees or anything like that...any minimum balances? And other than the $25 opening referral and $10 for referrals of others, is there anything else unusual?

Please correct anything I've misstated...Thanks - I didn't know about this!

Transfer from ING to your regular bank is about 3-4 days.

To get the $25 credit, you must be referred by a member. Feel free to pm someone for a referral. Anyone would be glad to help...

I talked to DH about ING and he is "onboard" and he signed up for an account as well this morning You have to love being able to refer people even your own hubby

Friendly reminder to those interested in opening an account, if you've privately asked someone for a link and then decide you will NOT be using it and will not be opening an account, please let that person know so they can release that email and be able to give it to somone else interested in a link email.

When someone sends you an email with the link, it is counted towards their 25 email limit. If you aren't going to use it, they can cancel it and be able to give it to someone else. If you let them know that you will NOT be using it, then they won't be stuck in limbo waiting for you to use it when you won't be.

You are very welcome! You can either cancel the email and give it to someone else OR you can email that person again, like a reminder.

I opened just a single account in my name linked to my checking account.

My wife (also same checking account as me) was wondering if she could start a new one fresh in her name only... I.e. I refer her and get $10 and then she gets the $25 bonus in her account... Is this able to be done?

If so, is it done by the referal email she will get from me, or is there another way you have to do it for family members?

You MUST get the email with the link to get the $25.

I signed myself and my kids up and sent my kids referral emails. They each got the $25 and I got $10 for each of them. I also sent my DH a referral email. He signed himself up. I did not sign him up. I got the $10 and he got his $25.

My DH and I do not have joint accounts but my kids and I are joint because they are minors.

Be sure to check your pm boxes. I have people who asked for referrals, I pm'd back to let them know of the information needed, but their messages still show as unread.

Also, if you decide not to sign up after requesting a referral, please let us know so we can delete you from our ING referral list (as stated from beattyfamily).

Have fun saving for all who signed up. It's truly fun watching the account grow. I still have so far to go. DD will probably have more than me. She's saving like crazy ($37 in pennies), you go baby...be sure to share with mommy (hehe)

I am just loving this ing account!!! It is so easy and is actually fun as well!!! My DH (who is forever the skeptic) has been doing research on his own (I guess he doesn't trust what I found out!!) and has about decided to move one of his savings accounts to ing!!!

I still need to open one for both of my boys - just need to sit down and take the time to do it!!!
