I just made airline ressie but why do I feel so ANXIOUS??

I just made our plane ressies. We got a pretty good deal because Delta screwed us up so badly last month on our trip to Hawaii that they gave us each $100 credit. So, the 4 of us have round trip tix for about $900.

Now, I hate to fly (and I do it a lot!). Maybe that is why I'm so anxious. Or it could be that the two previous times we've been there have been rather disasterous. We had to go at the height of spring break and two weeks before Christmas on a Saturday. We barely got to see any rides. DH had to be begged to give it one more try. We are going at the end of August. Not a slow time but some schools might be back in session already. Plus, we are going either Mon - Thurs or Tues - Thurs. We are staying at the HoJo and we like that place so if DH doesn't want to do the full 4 days, he can hang around the hotel in a nice area.

I dunno, , I'm just really anxious to make this an enjoyable vacation and the crowds are so out of my control.

We got a $100 flight credit from Delta for our trip back from Hawaii also...wonder if we were on the same plane! We are using our credit to go to DL in July. I don't really want to fly with Delta either, they are not my favorite airline, but ended up getting RT tickets for $80 after taxes!

We sat on the tarmac for 3 hrs in Atlanta while they 'defueled' the plane. Some goofball fueled it for a trip to Europe and it was too heavy to land at LAX. That caused us to miss the last flight out of LAX on Hawaiian airlines to Honolulu. Then they lost our luggage on the way over.

On the way back, they changed equipment at LAX and we barely made the flight - all 6 in our party, including my 9 yr old and my 5 yr old, were spread out all over the plane. THEN, they lost our luggage again.

So, $100 a piece was a nice token but it really doesn't cover the headache and anxiety they caused on a, supposedly, peaceful vacation.
