Our family spent a weeks vacation there and it was certainly not enough time to do all that we wanted. The people there are just so nice and friendly, (we used to live there for 4 years and little ds was born there). My ds enjoyed watching the texas rangers and the ny yankee games and we even got to watch fireworks from our hotel room one night. They loved six flags and hurricaine harbor and we ate at some great places Chewys, Dickies BBQ, Colters, Black eyed pea etc. Our only complaint was the very unreliable arlington trolley, I would write the mayor a letter, but doubt he would care, he's probably too busy trying to get the cowboys to move there!! O.K. I am really jealous of all you DFW Dis'ers, you live in such a great place. We didnt even get to the science place, fw zoo or mesquite rodeo, oh well, there is always next year. Only other problem was some guy saying he didnt think I was handicapped sitting in the handicapped seat at the ball park, My nice DH said, yes I was, gee. Visions of the nasty cm at disney world flashed back in my head. But that is something I always have to deal with, oh well, Here's toasting ya'll with a nice cherry limeade from sonic.

I grew up there, and agree totally.

It is an awesome place--well, maybe second to Orlando.

Sounds like you stayed in the Arlington area??? There is so much MORE to do in Ft Worth and in Dallas as well.

You must come back :)

WOW! That is SO sweet!
Seems like we rarely hear good things about our area any more.
Glad you had a nice time.
On the Sonic note - I am sitting here w/ a large iced tea w/ime from there even as I type.:D

Glad you had a good time!
Seems odd to hear of someone vacationing here to me though, as I grew up here.
There is alot to do within an hours drive in various directions, guess I take it for granted!

 WE MISS you already !!!

Thanks for coming by Y'all come back

Really I am glad you had a great time , there is a ton to do here . Did you guys ride that big toliet bowl looking thing at the water park ? Looks like fun ::yes::

My one visit to Dallas a few years ago was memorable. A great city, great people, super DIS'ers. :bounce:

I miss home... I'm only 1.5 hours away right now, but visit OFTEN =)

Glad to hear you enjoyed your stay!!!! After moving here, I realized how blessed i was living in DFW. So much to do!

Middle of the night and I'm looking at this title thinking....
Dear First Wife? Dear Foster? Dear ...

never dreamed you were actually talking about Dallas!

Never been but I used to work for a company called the Container Store and its based out of DFW. The owners of that company and all the employees from there I ever met or talked to were the nicest people I ever met. I never even considered going to Texas before (not that I didn't want to... just never thought about it), but I would definitely go now. We are flying through DFW on our way home from WDW next month, wish we had more then a couple of hours.
