I just joined WW online

Okay, I hate diets and programs like that but I went ahead and joined WW online anyway. Yes I have been successful eating sensibly on my own and exercising losing 18lbs in 10-11 weeks. Even with this success I have realized that I haven't really changed the way I am eating much. I think the loss has come mostly from exercising. I need to learn portion control (a huge problem for me) and how to stop eating when I know I'm full. I had tried using fitday but it wasn't working for me. So far the WW tools seem easier for me to use - also much less info to input for foods that aren't in the system already. I joined for 3 months and it's not as expensive as I thought and we'll see how it goes. If I don't like it I can quit anytime or just not continue after the 3 months are up. I also think my eating is not healthy in general even if I'm eating good foods - just seeing my points total for the day so far and thinking about what I'll have for dinner I will be way under my points total. Maybe that is why I find that I am hungry at night - I'm not eating enough at some meals. I know that my body needs a certain amount of fuel each day and not eating enough can backfire on my weightloss goals. And since I'm paying for it hopefully that will make me more accountable as well.
I really hope this is another step in the right direction.

Anyone else doing WW online? How is it for you?

I've been doing WW Online for about six months now, and I really like it. The program is easy to understand and the tools are simple to use! I've lost about 15 pounds since I started. It does take discipline though, you have to do the journal entries and weigh ins faithfully, or your just wasting money! That being said, I'm sure you'll do great! PM me is you have any questions.

Congrats on joing WW's. I think you will really like it. I am not sure if the online program will give you a lot of the hints and tips that you get at the meetings, but you have WISH which is even better!

I think WW's is wonderful about teaching you what portions are. Just remember though.....that because you can eat anything on WW's, it's still easy to eat the wrong foods. I really try to make my points count. I still eat the foods I love, including steaks, hamburgers, bratwurst etc. I just try to power eat most of the time. I try to find things that are healthy, great tasting that fill you up for a low amount of points. I try to snack all day, mostly on fruit so that I can get my fruit it. Most of the time I try to make my night time snacks healthy, like glass of milk, cheese and melba toast, or whole wheat bread with nuts in it, peanut butter and a glass of milk.

I'm doing WW by going to the meetings and I think it's a great program. I had a problem with portion control as well ... I like that you can eat what you want as long as you eat within moderation. I think on the second week they show you how you can compare foods to their proper portion sizes. I know that I'm definitely more careful about what I eat.
 

I'm so glad that there are many of you doing WW either at meetings or online. I'm sure I'll have many questions in the future. I love that I can have basically all the veggies I want, especially since my new favorite snack is tomatoes in balsamic vinegar. Thanks for the words of encouragement.
 
I've done WW online, and reached my goal weight today...but not officially, as I weighed 1/2 pound more yesterday!

Obviously, it works for me. Now to start the maintenence phase.

The one disadvantage to doing it online is that you can't become a lifetime member, so there is no real financial incentive to maintain your weight, except to avoid not starting over again once you quit. I plan on just paying my money every month so I can make sure I keep on track.
