I just got recognized from the DIS

I'm at work and a new sales rep came into the office. He saw me and said he's seen me before. "You go to the DIS, don't you?" I thought maybe he just meant from the boards but he actually meant from watching the show. He mentioned the video we did for the Mega Meet.

I thought that was pretty cool.

I got asked by the Nurse of 1 of my long time Docs who was retiring to help make a video to honor him before his retirement. His daughter took over his practice. First time I went to see her, she walked into the exam room and said "I didn't know you were coming, and didn't know you were here, but knew as soon as I heard your voice". Then another lady who had seen the video at his retirement luncheon (it apparently got shown @ a big luncheon at the hospital he was attached to, and she worked there, and was also a patient) said she recognized me in the waiting room on my way out.

I also got "recognized' or "commented on" a lot at work, because I used to make all the recordings for the phone system. So when somebody would call the "actual me", they'd say "gee - you sound familiar!"

Pretty freakin' cool.

Thats pretty cool. I got recognized by a stranger recently. I was so excited and honored until she told me I was the guy that has a photo saying dont let this man cash checks at the supermarket.
