My friend and I drove from Massachusetts to Windsor,Ontario last week in order to breed her Doberman. We met the nicest people on our journey! It took us 18 hours (with all the dogwalk stops) to get there and 18 to get back home! Thanks to Cruisin' Kroezes who helped me with info on service areas. People at these stops were so nice to our dogs(we travelled with 3 Dobermans) giving us ice and water and info on Canada and directions when we got lost! We LOVED the Loonies and Toonies and your accents!!!
Now,please everybody say a little prayer that she has puppies!!!!

LOL - wasn't aware there were accents in Windsor

Glad you had a great trip and that you met so many wonderful people on your journey. Sending you some PD :wizard: for the puppies.

:rotfl2: about the accents. Hmmm maybe the Windsor folks picked it from Detroit eh!! ;)

Myst

I was going to say the same thing especially coming from folks from Mass I guess they haven't listned to themselves much lateley no offence intended I used to love to hear Chris Nilan talk in interviews after Montreal games.

 I am glad that I was able to help you with your trip to Canada.

I am happy to hear that you and your dogs were well treated during your stay here in Canada.

If you have puppies you will have to post us some pictures. ;)

The people we were visiting live in Essex (our hotel was in Windsor)and got a kick out of our thick Boston accents!
Yes,I will post pictures of the pups! Now,how 'bout some suggestions for names? I'd love something with a Canadian theme!

THANKS AGAIN TO CRUISIN'KROEZES!!!

Glad you had a good time and were treated well in Canada! Dog name suggestions- Maple, Moose, Mckenzie(for Bob & Doug), Timmy(for Tim Horton's), Buttertart, Molson(haha!) HTH, Jen

I like that! Yeah, there were tons of these "Tim Horton's" !! Kinda like our Dunkin' donuts.

Since they may have started life here....how about Essex or Windsor for names. :teeth: On the more humourous side I'm the second person to think of a beer and Bob and Doug. The first things that popped into my head were Blue or Hoser. :rotfl:

I like that too!! So far,my favorite names are male...... could it be an omen?
What if all the pups are female??

What's "Blue" and "Hoser"????

Blue is a popular brand of beer, made by Labatt's. Hoser is a bit harder to explain. It's a word coined by the above mentioned comedic duo of Bob and Doug Mckenzie. For an example one did something goofy the other would say....You're such a hoser eh! It became very popular when they made a recording with it in it. This was said A LOT up here while they were popular (80's). For a while it seemed as Canadian as saying eh! :rotfl2:

Ok now that I've dated myself.... :p :flower:

If you've watched the movie Brother Bear then you've heard part of the Bob and doug routine. Rutt and Tuke are done by the same two guys who did the Bob and doug routine along time ago. I love them and my DS loves to sing the "take off to the great white north" song.

So, you could name them Rutt or Tuke and cover both bases.

Another regal type name would be Kent which is part of the name of the Municipality of Chatham-Kent .
