Since Roger's grandparents are both deceased, his mother is taking care of most of the arrangements for the funeral and since Roger is her oldest son, he'll be helping her with it. I don't know any of the details yet, but some pixie dust and prayers for the family couldn't hurt.

I don't know if I will or not yet, but probably so since he's told his mom about "us."

Prayers and pixie dust for the family. Roger is lucky to have you to lean on during this. (((hugs)))

Sure Becki. Prayers and pixie dust on the way.

Okay, we still had our date today which I wasn't expecting. He felt that I needed a fireproof safe for some important documents I have so he took me to Target for that. We then went and got some fried chicken. We talked a little in the car and I found out that his uncle was 88 (his mom is only 55, but she's the baby of 9) and that he had a heart attack and died late last night. They're going to have to send the body back to New Jersey (where Roger is originally from and lived until he was a senior in High School) and he'll have to go up there for the funeral so I won't be going.

OMG, I just thought about the way he'd have to go to get to New Jersey. Now, I'm going to worry about him once he goes.

Okay...he's decided that he's not going. His mom is, but he isn't. They were going to fly but they checked into the price of tickets and he thought it was too expensive.

It's a shame that you didn't sell your WDW tickets and give him the money instead of your friend

I didn't sell the tickets-I don't think you can "sell" a Disney package to someone else...I cancelled the trip about a month ago and I had no idea at that time that something was going to happen to Roger's uncle. I wouldn't go back and do it over again if I had either. My friend needed the money more for her situation than he does for this. Besides, he'd never ask me for that.
