WDW! He said he worked primarily at the 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea. He said he was so upset when they closed it. Me too.:( I only rode that ride once, and I loved it.:) He's a good story teller.:) I told him my dd was very impressed he worked at my dream home.:)

edited because I miscounted 18,000 leagues:o

cool..at least you got to ride it...:(

I remember it too.......those were the good ole days:(

when I was 8! :( But I still remember it.

I always thought that ride was below Disney standards! I don't miss it at all.

i don't miss that ride at all. the smell with all the sweaty people couped up in that lame submarine was so bad....YUCK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It was very popular when I went to WDW as a child. The lines to get on were horrendous!

The only way we got on it one time was following a bad thunderstorm. Practially everyone in the park ran for cover (as did we), but as soon as the rain lightened up, we booked over to the line and got in without much of a wait.

I thought that the giant squid was too cool, and I loved the little seats and portholes.

I only got to ride it once, although I've ridden the one that was at DL several times. I miss it, my kids would have LOVED this ride :( :(

From what I remember from the Travel Channel....looks like they resurrected it at Disneyland Tokyo........

looks to me like a good excuse for your to plan your next trip there!

My mom loved that ride so I must have gone on that one at least a half a dozen times before it closed. I do remember though that it was not up to what I would consider Disney standards and I hoped they would do a major rehab to it. I was sad when it was closed though.

I went on it 3 times total.:o Twice in the 70's and Once about a year before it closed with my kids. By than, it was leaking like a Seave and lost its luster.:(

Neat Shannon! I remember riding it when I was 8 and laughing when a little trickle of dripping water from the ceiling kept getting my mom's hair wet. :teeth:
