So I am looking at my monthly Aeroplan newsletter and I noticed we have 6800 Aeroplan miles. So I got thinking you must be able to get something for 6800 Aeroplan miles besides a poke in the eye with a sharp stick. :confused3 So I went to the Aeroplan website and I just found the coolest travel bag! They are made in Canada and this just might be the coolest WDW travel bag EVER! For those of you cultured travel people out there it is a Heys Travelmate. I redeemed 5 thousand points for the red one. So I googled them and these things rock. Check out the link and watch the three videos at the bottom of the page. They are also cheap! Under 25 Canadian dollars!:thumbsup2

Hey! I love this bag! When I entered my address ( ONTARIO) i got a price of $34?? Any chance you can shop at Zellers instead of having them delivered?
Thanks!

I would assume so. It comes in a lot of colours...even lime green! The bigger the zellers the better the selection. You might even want to call your zellers to see if they carry them. Our zellers out here are really crummy. I was very glad to find this. I just hope it arrives from Aeroplan before we leave.

Looks kinda touristy.

I ordered mine from aeroplan too. It took a good 3-4 weeks for delivery.

What I liked about it:
- expandable
- has a water-proof section
- place to hold your bottle

What I don't like about it:
- I assumed it sat on your back with the strap along the front. Nope. You can't do this. It hangs low in front of you. Not that comfortable. Iwanted a knapsack-type item, and this is more like a chunky purse in front.

If you can see them in a store, try them out first.

Hmm that's interesting thanks for sharing. I actually want something in the front so we are not swinging and rummaging for stuff all the time so it will be good for us. Is the strap adjustable? I could see that being a problem if it is not. My dh and I are tall as I am 5'9 1/2 and he is 6'2 and if you are short and the strap does not adjust it would fall on your legs not your hip.

It is adjustable. For me, it sits on my hip. Any higher, and the strap across the chest becomes a problem for me :p I honestly haven't worn it out yet, so I don't know how comfortable it'll be fully loaded for a long period of time. Mine is pink so I can't share it with my husband ;) You can't remove the cell phone pocket which I don't need.

On our last trip, we used a backpack with raincoats, snacks, multiple bottles of water and juice boxes, the camera, the autograph books, etc. This year, my DDs will be 7 and 5 and I don't think we'll need to tote as much -- especially at DLR which won't be humid. It'll be tight but I think I can manage to squeeze 2 autograph books, my camera, and wallets in there, with a bottle on the side.

I guess it is better that the bag is in the front for loading onto rides. I just thought it would be more adaptable to front or back.

I just came from Zellers and they just received them IN STORE this month for $22.98 each. They have RED BLUE PURPLE OLIVE AND A SILVERY BLUE(i bought that one) Really wanted black. Those are the only colours they sell. They have a passport bag inside , a flashlight thingie and a mirror. Really cool bag. Check out zellers before you buy on line and save some money for DISNEY!:thumbsup2

I went looking today - couldn't find them in my Zellers. Which locations have them?

They all should (soon). They are in the luggage dept.
Hope that helps. All of the Burlington and Hamilton stores have them ( Ontario)

I got my lime green one from airmiles months ago and it has done a few amusment park trips. It's very good at holding everything I need. I will say that the strap can be somewhat uncomfortable on the shoulder/neck if padded part on the strap isn't lined up properly when you put it on but overall I've been very happy with my free bag! It held my wallet, sunglasses, camera, cellphone, snacks for the kids, waterbottle, maps, Epipen and Bendadryl, antibacterial wipes...can't remember what else but it certainly held plenty considering its size. It's very secure and easy to look for stuff inside it while wearing it. I also liked the matching passport holder that comes with it as well as the mini flashlight and mirror. It's no problem to wear it on the front or the back. I've done both...

I just bought a red one from my Zellers (Richmond Hill - Hillcrest Mall) for a present for a friend who will be going on a dream vacation to New Zealand. I'm not sure I want one yet...I'm more of a waist pack person because I loath things that hang from my shoulder. I tolerate my camera around my neck but to add another thing...

I do like the fact that it carries a lot of stuff though.

Zellers didn't have the black I would have bought for myself though...and I would have accepted Khaki too but they didn't have that either.

Bleh...I can't make up my mind about one for myself.

User reviews are helpful. It sounds like I wont get mine from Aeroplan before I leave. So today I go all the way over to the Sunridge Zellers and that is a long drive but the closest one to me except Market Mall except I was too scared to go in because I love Market Mall...hold on where was I oh ya and I shop at Zellers and walk out and start driving away and realized I didnt even look at the bags

. I hate Zellers on Saturdays because that is when their sale starts and I swear is crazy so I am going to go back Monday morning and look!

I got my pink one "free" from Aeroplan for our last trip. I did stuff quite a bit into it including my refillable mug. It does sit the best at the front or slightly to the side, but it easily swings to the back. It was great to travel with and the waterproof pocket is great for the camera on Splash Mtn! I am not pleased with mine though, as the strap is now ripping where it attaches to the main part of the purse. I would have been really ticked if I had paid for it and found it didn't even make it through one trip.

I took that bag to Disney in August and it worked out great for me! I stuffed a poncho in there, some snacks, and a small bottle of sunscreen. I love the compartment for water bottles on the side. It's a really good bag if you don't carry that much into the parks.

I was kind of dissapointed in the quality though. The zipper tab from the main compartment broke off and now it's hard to open and close. I just got a slightly bigger version from Kipling that I think will hold up better. It was much more expensive but the quality of their stuff is amazing!

I got one today for 22.97. I will see how it holds up. If you are having trouble contact them as they have a 2 year warranty.
