I just couldn't wait!

I usually make a "countdown chain" (paper chain with # of links = to # of days before we leave, tearing off one link each day) two weeks before. I made ours TODAY (16 days left). I just couldn't wait another 2 days. My 2 youngest are thrilled with the idea of watching the chain get shorter.
I feel like it's close but not close enough to start packing yet, sort of a limbo-type state. Anyone else going around the same time? Where are you as far as finalizing plans, gathering up info. (files you've made on the computer for ex.) to take along, packing, etc.?
I'm almost afraid to start packing bc. I'm afraid to see how much stuff I've collected to take along!

I started packing about a week before we left ... and I was real leerly about pulling out my "Disney Box" and trying to figure out where to pack all those necessities.

Of course, the real challenge is packing to come home! I even bought an empty duffle bag to use for the return trip ... filled it up and was hauling a Disney shopping bag to boot!

Im antisy also, hoping we stay healthy and get healthy, and packing slowly as we wear an outfit for the last time before the trip. Im so excited!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Looks like we'll all be there the same time. 13!!!days to go for us...our 1st time there.
I have 2 (of 4) carry-ons packed-shorts and bathing suits for the 4 of us(incase luggage gets lost), loads of film, snacks for the plane, game books/coloring books/crayons also for the plane.
Also, 1 small (unopened so still flat) inflatable ring and beachballs for the pool. All of this will be split between the 4 carry-ons so we will have extra space to bring stuff back.
I have another bag of toiletries and such ready to be packed.
As far as cloths, I think I'll start on Monday. Now that the weather is getting cooler here I can do the shorts & stuff.
Its a surprise for the kids so I can't do it all at once (or in front of them) or they'll know somethings up.

Everyone have a great time. Maybe we'll see you there...and not even know!

I think that we will be there the same time as you guys too...Callie, crazymomof4, and Shelby007 I will be leaving when you are too, and it is our first trip to WDW as well! I am glad you are sharing tips on things that you are getting ready for right now, because I haven't even started yet, and I know that I need to get going. I have been keeping a list, but I think it is time for action...thanks again, and have a great trip!!! I will be hoping for low rain, and low crowds!
