I had to get rid of my 94 Mustang Coupe. It was having some kind of ignition problem where it would only start when it wanted to. This went on for 2 weeks and the mechanic could not figure it out. I only had 76,200 miles on it and it was a beautiful car,
but it had to be laid to rest. :( :( :(
I went with the Civic EX sedan automatic . While I miss my sports car, I really like this Honda. It if fun to drive, hugs the corners well and has quite a bit of pep for a 4 cylinder and this is coming from someone who is used to a 6 cylinder manual shift. I know I made the right decision but guess it will take some adjusting to....
It was time to move on. Thought I would make a post to see what kind of encouragement I could get through this transition.
Only thing that beats the smell of a brand new car is getting the title to it years later after it it paid for.

Best of good luck with the new Honda, Carolyn, a good choice it is. Rarely hear of a dissatisfied Honda owner. I had 2 myself, the first year the Accord came out, in '76, and the first four-door Accord, in '80. Both great cars. Many good, safe, trouble-free miles ahead HG. :sunny:

You made a great choice. I drive a Civic, and I love it. D drives a Mustang, and I hate it!!! There isn't room for anything in there!
You will receive great customer service from Honda.
Every year Honda dealerships have a "Car Care Clinic" where they will do a free 40-point inspection of your car and give you a coupon for a free oil and filter change. I just had mine done on Saturday.

I hope you enjoy your Civic as much as I have enjoyed mine! :D

Trader....Guess you know what I drive.;) Enjoy your new ride, I hope you have better luck with it. Oh by the way, I had a recall on my igniton...hmmmmm

As a former owner of four Mustangs, I feel your pain.. I loved mine!

BUt we got a 1978 Honda Civic, as a knock around car, back in the 80's. I wish we still had it. It never gave us trouble, and it was fantastic.

My husbands car just died, and we are looking into a used Honda!

Enjoy your new car! I too drive a Civic and I love it! I hope you continue to enjoy yours as much as I have mine :)

My DH drives a '95 Civic. It now has about 125,00 miles on it. It's dependable, rides great, and never has mechanical problems. I drive an Accord; also a great car. The trade-in value on Hondas is a lot better than most cars, and you'll save a lot of money by not needing expensive repairs.

Congratulations and good luck with your new car. You will not be sorry about buying a Honda. We have a 5 yo Civic and DS #1 has a 1994 Accord and DS #2 has a 2001 Civic. We have a mini van (Chrysler) and DH would love to trade it in for an Odyssy. Our previous cars were 2 Preludes and and Accord. You might say we like Hondas.

DS and I both own Hondas---he a Civic EX, and I a CRV. We both love our cars! He got his Civic for the gas milage, since he commutes 80 miles a day, and he is so happy with his choice. He's had it for four years now, and drives the heck out of it---work, road trips to Pennsylvania, etc...and it's never even had one minor mechanical issue. My CRV has been great, too. Honda makes great cars---you'll be happy with your choice!:)
