I just booked our wedding!

23rd, Tuesday :D

At least that's the one I booked, and the one the confirmation said, but the e tickets say the 26th! So they need to sort that first!

Wedding attire is not allowed in any of the parks unless you are doing one of the photo shoots out of party hours or an event through Disney weddings - sorry :headache:

Congratulations though :dance3:

Ok the latest rules I can find, August 2011;

FOR THE SAFETY OF YOUR CHILD AND OTHERS, PLEASE ADHERE TO THE GUIDELINES BELOW.

Halloween costumes should NOT:
•Obstruct the guest's view or interfere with their ability to board/unload from attractions and/or the Walt Disney World Resort transportation system (including monorails, ferry boats and motorcoaches).
•Drag on the ground.
•Contain sharp or pointed objects or material that may accidentally stike another guest.
•Be offensive to other guests.
•Contain any weapons which resemble or could easily be mistaken for an actual weapon.

I hate to be a party pooper but you are definately not allowed a wedding dress into the parks even for MNSSHP :( Floor length wedding dresses are not permitted for health and safety.
You can however wear a short white sundress (or even a long white one!) but if it looks too 'wedding-y' they will turn you away.
There are a few stories out there of brides managing to get into the parks but they are either from years ago, or they got lucky but I wouldn't reccomend attempting it cus they definitely can and will turn you away.

P.S Only other way I can think of getting around it - maybe go as corpse bride?! You could wear facepaints into park and just wash it off for wedding-y pics?? But if you do get in as a Corspe Bride be warned that if your dress id too big/poofy etc you wont be able to ride any rides (health and safety:furious:)

I was planning on only wearing a pretty floaty white dress, not floor length as we're getting married on the beach so wouldn't want it getting wet when wading in the sea for pics! lol

Would that be ok? All of us in white?

I think you'll be fine in that.

I know another bride went in last year.

Oh fab! And they won't wonder why we're all in white or matching? lol

Maybe the Halloween Party will work in your favour as people will be arriving in all sorts of outfits :)

Might see you there - we are thinking of booking for 23rd too :goodvibes

Congratulations! :cloud9:

I got married in October 2009 at Celebration, it was amazing! A week later, my sister (CAROLINE4 on here) got married on Cocoa Beach and that was beautiful too! She requested a part of the beach with no reeds (I know that sounds bizarre haha) and she was so glad she did, the pics were all gorgeous sand and sea!

I think if you are worried about all being dressed in white and whether they would let you in like that, id just split up for entry and meet at the other side of the turnstiles! :)

Ahh great idea!

And no, not bizarre, I'd prefer no reeds and just the sand and sea in the photos!

There are alot of wedding areas that have tons of reeds in the background on cocoa beach, when my sister booked, she was google imaging and seen lots so she contacted the coordinator who said she would make sure there were none for her if that's what she wanted! Her area was Robert P Murkshe park and it was beautiful :)

Also, she did the Sand ceremony so that she could get her little ones involved, they gave her a big heart shaped vase and then her and her hubby and their boys each a test tube with a different coloured sand in each, as the reverend said some words about family, they each poured their sand in, she has it in her bedroom now and it's a gorgeous reminder and keepsake! The boys loved being involved too!

how exciting, congratulations! :lovestruc look forward to hearing all about it :goodvibes

Congratulations, I hope you have a wonderful day! I'm sure you'll have no problem getting into the Halloween Party in your dress. I've read of several other brides doing this with no issues.

I hope you post photos here when you get back!

Congratulations!
Sounds like you will have a wonderful wedding.
