Please someone tell me the Gym is worth it. I just need a reminder. I feel so good while there but a few hours later BAM......I am walking like a 150 year old.

Can you tell I pumped up the volume of my workout this week?;)

I hear ya! ;) This morning at the gym I go to a song came on that kept repeating "Are you hungry"... duh duh duh duh duh "Are you hungry"... duh duh duh duh duh "Are you hungry"....

Finally a group of people yelled out YES!!!!!!!! :p It was hilarious! :D

I'm walking like a 150 year old too.....and I didn't work out....I'm glad you did for me too!!!

:D

Jana,

You are pretty chipper for someone who aches and hurts.

But, it is all worth it. We just joined the local Y, and I've been walking on the indoor track, and finally starting to feel it.

Maybe when we meet, we can have our own pity party!

OHHHHH, Jason thinks I look sexxxxxyyyyy. Do you think I will be the next Eros girl????? LOL:) OK, that sentence is kind of diturbing:eek: LOL

TigrLvsPooh, that is hilarious:teeth:

Shannon, I am whining can't you tell??????;)

paras4ri, are you telling mre you can workout through others? Care to tell me your secret?

Deb, when we meet we are going to have a PARTY but with no pity involved just a ton o fun....oops not to mean the ton means us!!! ;) LOL

Jana, trust me, you're not whining. If I hurt/ache, my smile disappears. Soak in a hot tub to ease those muscles.:)

Hmmm. Am I the only one who hates exercising while I'm doing it but likes the muscle aches afterward?

Not that I remember what that's like

I haven't figured it out yet either!!!

The next EROS girl! I'm rolling!

I don't go to a gym, but DH does. He says the same thing. He's in great pain the day after a workout, but he calls it a "good pain". Maybe you can think of it that way too. :D

It IS worth it...for so many reasons! Keep Up the Great Work! :)

...unless you're really damaging yourself (and I think you'd know it if you were) those pains are a 'good' thing...it's representing little micro tears in the muscles...and is the first step in recover and strenghtening the muscles...I might suggest two things; one, try eating a higher protein meal within an hour after your workout...and two, get a dietary suppliment protein drink...(I'd suggest Whey Protein which you'd mix with water)...these things will help reduce your post w/o soreness (or at least that's been my experience). Also depending on your fitness goals...it might be advisable not to workout the same muscle group for 1 week after a given group is sore...so as to permit full recovery and maximize your conditioning...:)

Good for you gemmie! I'm jealous. :o ;)

Doc -- it's a feeling I love to hate or I hate to love. One or the other. :p But yes, I like that feeling too! Unless I hurt myself , which I do with free weights.
