My Daughter And I Will Be At Wdw Nov 20-28 2008 During That Time My Daughter Will Turn 10 (disney Adult) We Have A 10 Non Expiring With 6 Day Left - We Are Staying At The Pop Centery Basic Room - 100 Deposit Left To Pay 800.00 We Will Eat Coral Reef For Her B'day And Prime Time On Her B'day And Thanksgiving .my Question Are Should I Go With The Dining Plan ? Do I Need To Buy A One Day Ticket ? One Day Ticket And Dining Plan Is About 1500.00 So That 600.00 More ? Is This Going To Be A Big Problem ? I Would Like To Have The Food Pay For - One Less Thing To Worry About Please If There Is Any Answers To Question That You Can Think Of Please Answer - I Know I Have More Question But They Fill My Head So Fast I Can't Think

 This will be short and sweet - and just ny opinion. I don't like the dining plan. I love Disney and go at least twice a year but eating and where we eat just isn't a biggee on our DW radar. The one time we did do the dining plan it seemed as if other activities had to be scheduled around eating.

Here is a link to the menus, price it out to see which way you would come out better. When I have used the dining plan I have found I eat too much, because of the dessert, and end up filling sick. You don't have to buy a one day ticket for the dining plan, there are plenty of places to eat at the resorts.
The Whispering Canyon Cafe at the Wilderness Lodge is a great place to eat! Hope this helps!!

Excuse me, but unless she has an AP or is DVC, then she will have to buy at least a one day ticket for everyone in the room, in order to add the DDP. DDP can not be added to a room only reservation, unless you have an AP or are staying at a DVC resort on points.

Personally we love the DDP and can't imagine going to WDW without it. We like having everything (except tips) paid for in advance and knowing that we can order anything on the menu, without even glancing at the price. We may just want a taste of that dessert and with the DDP we can order it without hestitating to think if we'll eat enough of it to justify buying it OOP.

HOW IS THE TIPS DONE ? LIKE DO THEY BRING YOU A CHECK OF WHAT YOUR MEAL WOULD BE AND YOU ADD THE THE AMOUNT OR DO THEY TELL YOU HOW MUCH THE TIP SHOULD BE ? :confused3 :daisy: I REALLY LIKE THE IDEA OF THE FOOD PAY UP FRONT - I JUST DON'T KNOW WHAT TO DO

Also Another Question She Would Turn 10 - Does She Go By 3-9 Or 10- Adult ?

Hi nike! We love the dining plan and this past year did the deluxe plan. The cm will ask how you want to handle the tip. We always tell them cash. Then when you get the check it will have a suggested tip amount but what you tip is up to you. It is easier than it sounds.

Yes, they bring you a receipt and it will have tipping suggestions.

It goes by the arrival date. So if she is 9 the day you arrive then that is the age they will use. If she turns 10 on arrival day then they use that age.

I AM HAVING A HARD TIME FINDING INFO BECAUSE NOT THAT THERE IS NO INFO - IT IS THAT THERE IS SO MANY DIFFERENT PLANS - I WANT THE BASIC WE ARE NOT BIG EATERS - DO LIKE APPETIZER , DESSERTS popcorn:: AND SNACKS - WHAT IS THE CHILDREN MENU LOOK LIKE CHICKENS NUGGUTS - I DONT EXPECT MUCH FOR 9.99 IT IS 9.99 FOR HER RIGHT? I JUST DON'T WANT TO AT STEAK AND SHE EAT CHICKEN

The Basic dinning plan is great. You must buy at least 1 park day ticket for every person in your room to be on the dinning plan. Your dd is 9 when you start the plan s she stays 9 the entire trip for the plan. That would be crazy to change it. This is a god plan for people who are not big eaters.
Ny DH & I split a CS for Breakast & a CS for lunch which works out perfect so we are not stuffed for dinner.:thumbsup2 It's the way to go in my opinion.
Have a nice trip.

Can Someone Tell Me What Is On The Menu For A Children Menu ? It Will Be Her Birrthday Trip Would Hate For Her To To Only Eat Chicken ,pizza , Hambuger - While I Am Eating Steak Fish And Pasta - I Am Still Want To Do It -but How Much Work I Would Have To Change Room And Dining Reservations

Go to All Ears you should be able to see all the menu's.

My DH and I love the dining plan. This year we upgraded to the DDP. Even though I would never be able to eat three TS meals a day, we are going to 2TS dinners each day. To each their own, but for us the DDP is the only way to go.

This is link to AllEars which has the Menus to each restaurant. http://allears.net/menu/menus.htm A lot of people complain it is a lot of food but just because its paid for doesn't mean you have to eat the most expensive or everything there. I am using it the first time this year and I am doing so with thinking that I have my food paid for. If dessert is too much I just won't get it, simple, don't you think? HTH Have a wonderful trip. :thumbsup2

I JUST NOTICED THE APPS. ARE NOT INCLUDED - I AM THINK ABOUT THIS SOOO MUCH THAT THE OTHER NIGHT I HAD A DREAM I WAS GOING TO BACK INTO SOME CHILDREN TO MAKE A RESERVATION - AND DIDN'T WANT TO BE LATE- THE FUNNY PART IS I AM NOT RENT A CAR I AM USING MAGICAL EXPRESS :rotfl: :rotfl2:

I DID LOOK AT THE CHILDREN MENU - IT IS SAD - I DON'T MAKE MYSELF SOMETHING TO EAT AND THEN MAKE MY DD A HOT DOG - SHE EATS WHAT I EAT JUST SMALLER :confused3 WHAT ARE THEY THINKING

I AM BACK TO NOT GETTING THE DINING PLAN - I NEED TO KNOW SHE WILL EAT - SHE TRIES EVERYTHING - WE CAN EAT LARGER MEAL LIKE 2 COUNTER SERVICE ADULT MEAL 2 A DAY
