I hit the Toy Story motherload!

Metro Detroit checking in today.... Our Kroger only has these items at 25% off. I talked to the lady that stocks all the general merchandise and she said it usually goes 50% off before it goes 75% off and that they aren't discounting much to 75% off anymore. The write off they get for donating items is usually more than the price they receive for selling GM at 75% off.

I remember that someone posted that CVS will not be doing the 90% off clearance that they used to do.:sad1: Last summer I cleaned up on the summer clearance and had enough to make 4 different auction baskets for our church auction.

Is this at ALL Krogers? Or just yours?

Well, OP got lucky. I live in the north, aka, the land where there are no Krogers, so I called my parents to ask them to go to their's in Roanoke, Va. They just called and told me the stuff was only 25% off, so the train set was $8 something instead of $10 something and the buzz with plane or tractor was $11 something instead of $14 something. I told them to hold off and for mom to just keep a lookout when she shops each tuesday for her "old fart" discount:rotfl:

Looks like just that one in my area. DH went to one by his work and I stopped at another one on the way to church last night and didn't even see ANY of it marked down. :confused3

did they have all the toy story stuff in one area, or was everything all around the store? thanks

It was all on a tiered cart at the front of the "seasonal" aisle.

Good luck in the hunt, everyone!

Where North? Krogers main office is in Columbus Oh. Lot of Krogers in OH.

I checked ours out today too. They are just on sale, but nothing major, and not worth getting at this time. They didn;t have alot left, but alot of Barbies

The Toy Story stuff was 75 off at the Crowley, Texas Kroger yesterday. :goodvibes

Upstate ny

Really? I know Krogers is from Ohio though. Because my Aunt lives inColumbus, and she talks about how alot of Krogers commercials in the past had alot to do with Columbus and not sure how anyone else would know what they meant. The one I think of off the top of my head is years ago, they had the penguin in the commercials all the time, and the penguin was from the Columbus Zoo, but only people who lived in Columbus area reallly understood why he was in the commercials. LOL! I had thought they just made up a character till my Aunt told me about it.

Well we were both wrong, just found this on the Kroger site...

What a great find! I would have probably cleaned out the shelves! My niece and nephew are wanting everything toy story now that they saw the movie. Of course, we don't have any Kroger's stores here where we live.

Glad you posted. I am visitng my grandparents right now in Plymouth but am from NY where we don't have Kroger's. I was going to run over to Kroger's today before I went home to stock up for a charity event we are holding, but I won't worry about it now (my time here is so limited, so you saved me some, thanks!)

Now I feel stupid....I realized now that you were answering my question about where you were up north, not where the the hQ is. LOL! :rolleyes1 Having a blonde moment I guess.

no prob - I have those moments all the time and I'm a brunette! I blame it on my son.:thumbsup2

our Kroger had nothing at all. I wish I could have gotten the Barbie though. I'd sure like to find her on some kind of discount.....

I got a TON of toy story 3 crayola stuff at target yesterday...things like color wonder, marker and paper sets and activity sets for hardly nothing...2.50 a piece!!! I am putting some up for our dec trip so dd4 has something to do in the car...

Stopped by today to get some milk and crossed my fingers I would happen upon the 75% off sale. It must have been my lucky day! They had tons of stuff, but no barbies, which is what I was hoping for. Oh well! I still scored big for the gift stash!
