Robert - Where's the pic of the vodka tonic??????;)

My best (and the most likely) answer, is that the glass must have had a hole in it, and it became empty VERY quickly, before I could take the picture.....:thumbsup2

I hate those glasses with holes in them .. it seems I always get one :confused3 !!!
Can't wait for more!

Enjoyed the IL MUlino review! We're going there in May! Hope we have better service!!

You had me at "gorilla". When I read your criteria for dining reviews, all three of them pointed to oybolshoi (Brenda). If there ever was a DISer with a quirky sense of humor, Simpsons references, and a penchant for food porn....it's her.

And I didn't realize that I've quoted Moe before. I think I've described something I've eaten as "my mouth had a party and everyone's invited". ;)

Il Mulino seems to be hit or miss. I've seen incredible reviews of it, and the not-so-incredible ones like your second experience. I'm on the fence about trying it. But the food did look incredible.

Yes, I must admit that oybolshoi (Brenda) has had an impact on my review style. I am in her debt.

Regarding Il Mulino - the food has been excellent each visit. I have nothing negative to say about that part of the experience. Service the first trip was superb. Second visit, not so much, but not terribly flawed either. I really think that the guy complaining to the manager (twice) threw our waiters for a loop, because they started off well enough. That is why I left their names off this review. Except for an unexplained long wait for the check, and possibly a missing lemoncillo shot (which they simply may not be doing anymore), the service was certainly 'adequate'. And the food quality, and variety of choices, will keep us coming back.

I am looking forward to reading about Uncleromulus's experience on his upcoming trip, to get his take on things.

We try to keep an open mind, and it takes a pretty bad server to completely 'turn us off' a place. To date, in our WDW history, that has only happened at ESPN Club, Bongo's, and Beaches & Cream. On those visits, the food wasn't memorable enough to allow us to overlook terrible service and/or bad attitudes, and we haven't made a return visit since to any of them.

And I really like the boo-berry / kiwi face in your tiramisu!!! :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

Yeah, the face kind of creeped me out a bit when I first saw it. It is something different everytime I look at it. So far, I've seen an owl, a Japanese Anime character, a marshmallow Peep that I microwaved for too long back in 2005, and Wilfred Brimley. I'll look at it again, and if I see something that won't give me nightmares, I'll stop on that one.

I can't believe everyone on the DIS doesn't enjoy obscure Simpsons references. However I prefer obscure Futurama references.

I will see if my alter ego, Flexo, has any comments he'd like to add to the reviews.

Status update:
If the internet gremlins don't attack my service tonight (like they did yesterday), the Bistro review (with pix) should be up later tonight. Keeping my fingers crossed.....
