We had such a great time I have to share our experience with those of you who will appreciate it.
Friday 4-6 was our last day. Our flight left Tampa at 5:20 so we decided to add another day to our tickets and spend another morning at MK. ($8 per ticket to add)
DW and DD wanted to make the 7am opening ceremony at MK but as hard as we tried we arrived at 7:05 and missed the opening. My DD needed a picture and autograph of Pluto so we waited in line at the begining of Main Street. This ended up being the longest line we waited in all morning.
From there we walked on: Space Mt, Great Goofini, Pooh, Snow White, Peter Pan and Haunted Mansion.
That's when we stopped for breakfast in Liberty Square for waffle sandwiches.
All this without rushing or worrying about crowds. We even went through the new cemetary entrance at HM to explore.
We then headed for the Magic Carpets, Jungle Cruise and Pirates. No line for any of them.
It was our second day at MK so we didn't feel the need to repeat anything. From there we did some shopping in adventureland and Main Street. Followed by pictures and people watching at the hub. That was probably my favorite part of the day. No real purpose, no agenda, just a family enjoying MK for some of the little details. Very relaxing end to a great vacation.

A bonus day--what a great end to a trip! How nice that they opened the MK early enough for you to really enjoy it, too! We never schedule out trips late neough to get that "extra" day in and I always wonder why we didn't the day we leave. Your story is a testament to the fact that getting to the parks early makesall the difference when it's really crowded. How were the overall crowds, BTW?

This was the first time we stayed "extra" days as well. We usually only make each park once.
The crowds grew very big as the day went on. Definately glad we planned the early mornings with a mid day break. By the time we left each park we had done almost everything we wanted to do. It was almost sad to see crowds of people walking in as we were leaving knowing the lines at most of the attractions were 45-120 minutes long.
