In RL, you just can't go around yelling and clicking up your heels in joy because you might offend someone whose child didn't attain this - but:

DD made the danceline of the high school again! Yahoo! She was up against a very tough, competitive group of girls! And, she got hired to coach middle school level football cheerleading!

And - after a 7 year long journey that began in 1st grade as a Tiger Cub - DS passed his Eagle Scout Board of Review on Wednesday night! All that is left if the official confirmation from National in Texas.

Please pardon my bragging - but gosh, darn it - I'm just tickled pink here!!!!

Ummmmm..... no - Elaine, I think it means I'll be shelling out $$$$$ for an Eagle Scout ceremony! Luckily DD was on the danceline last year - so we already have the white boots, monogrammed jacket, etc., etc. for her. Now - I did just send in $180.00 for dance recital costumes in Jan. and today she brought home another form for $65.00!

Congratulations, Pam on your kids' accomplishments. I know how you feel -- their joys and pains are magnified for a mom!

Now, just make sure that they don't get swelled heads! I direct youth theatre in my community and one of the biggest things we stress is that being part of our group involves more than just their talent -- they have to be examples of kindness in the community as well, because they represent our group!

Today kids have so many opportunities and wonderful successes at a young age -- you can't believe some of the "I'm so great" attitude I run across.

Give your kids a hug -- you both deserve it. Good job Mom!!!

OH PAM!!!! What WONDERFUL news!!!!! You go Mom and brag all you want....you have LOTS to brag about!!!! Eagle....WOW...what an achievement!!! Really I don't think that those who are not familiar with scouting can understand the work involved in this....and the pride that goes along with achieving this goal SHOULD be HUGE!!!! There are many things that kids do along the way to growing up...all of them special in their own way. But I don't think that there is anything more difficult or more rewarding than achieving the rank of Eagle!!!! But ...um....I guess alot of you already know how much I think of the scouting programs! Please give your son a salute from me....and here's a hug for you{{{{HUG}}}} because I know how much of a parent's time, effort and heart goes into this alongside their boy! I have goosebumps.....
And DD too? What a banner week!!! The apple doesn't fall far from the tree Miss Pam!!!!
