DS and his friends (his bandmates) will be here in about a half hour for practice, I can't wait till they see the newspaper

Thanks Mal! That was my feeling too, that the main VMK board here is a little community all of its own

Thanks for all the comments, everyone! Band practiced finished up a little while ago, and I just ordered Chinese food for everyone.

On a side note, Craig's SAT scores arrived today and he did really well! He'll be going to college next fall, but I have to say that CapeCAD and I have always been very pleased with DSs' interest in music (both DSs, actually), we are very proud of their musical abilities and we enjoy seeing their passion for music as well. I have a stack of newspapers that I will be mailing out tomorrow to relatives who live out of state.
