I just stumbled on this thread again. Yes, my daughter had all four of hers out last Thursdsay, May 22. There were impacted and she was "knocked out" for the surgery. She is still in a lot of pain. The doctor gave her penecillin (spelling??) to ward off any infection and he also gave her pain killers. She took one pain killer and didn't like the reaction (she threw up and was very dizzy). She really hasn't been able to eat much, but I keep trying to offer her very soft foods and drinks, etc. My husband made her some different smoothies to try and get her to eat something. We called the doctor back late Friday afternoon because I was worried that she couldn't hold anything down. He said it could be the penicillin and to take it with a carbonated drink. She has been taking advil and execedrin (asprin free) for the pain. She hasn't had to throw up in the past couple of days, but I am really seeing what a painful procedure this it. I feel so bad for her and as her mother I feel helpless. I keep wishing I could take the pain away from her. She says her gums are really really sore. What a pain!! It's amazing how four little teeth can cause so many problems!!
