Then again, I wondering if a certain someone ran out of sandwich fixings and borrowed my rolaids just so he could take something in the potty to eat for b'fast.

Go to your doctor and get a prescrip for Prevacid!
My DH had trouble with heartburn, every day. He couldn't eat much of anything without getting it. Finally went to the doctor and he gave him a prescrip for Prevacid, 30mg. No problem with heartburn. Only gave it to him for 6-weeks though. After the 6-weeks he started having trouble again, so a month after that I finally convinced him to call to see if he could get another prescrip and they called one in for him, but only 15mg this time but for the most part it's working well. Occasionally if he eats something bad (like pizza) late in the evening then he wakes up with heartburn but other than that he's doing fine. You should try it!!
