I have the FLU! and we leave Monday 12/6

I really hope you ALL start felling better and enjoy your time at Disney World!! We all (4) got our flu vacine yesterday. I heard our county health department got in 2,000 doses of the FluMist Nasal vacine for people ages 5 - 49. I adjusted everyone's schedule and we headed up there assuming it would be packed with people. We were in and out in 35 minutes and are all hoping to miss the bug this year!! Pixie dust to everyone!!!!

Me and DW just got a shot of anitibotics. I hope it makes us feel better. I only have to work tomorrow and then off on vacation.

Been there done that
But for me it was the stomach flu and it hit one hour before I was to get on the plane for Orlando. The flight was so early that when I tried to call the airlines(air tran) they were not open yet. I had to have my brother drive me to airport to cancel my flight because the offices wouldnt open before the flight left and if I didnt cancel my flight before it left I would lose all my money. When I got the counter to try to change but they were reluctant but when I ran outside to have a refersal of fortune he decided it would be best if I didnt get on the plane. He moved me back one day( I only could move it back one day cause I was attending mvmcp that following night!) with out any charge. Thing is the next day I was feeling great and looking forward to getting on the plane and getting to the party but on the flight down lets just say virus moved south. I tried the best I could to have a good time that night anyway

Tamiflu won't stop the flu, but it will greatly cut back on its severity and duration. My mother used it and she was back on her feet in about a week.

Taking Tamiflu and LOVING it! I still feel like #$^% but atleast it is making it more managable. Thanks for the advice I am glad I have been taking it since monday cause it is good stuff!!!

Good for you Disluv- maybe it won't be long before you are all better! Good news for me too- looks like DS3 may have just eaten something that upset his tummy b/c he has been fine since this morning- eating normally too! Whew! If we can just get there now and have a jolly good ole time!!!

Think positively and you'll be fine! Last December, I was in the emergency room with a fever of 104 that had been raging for four days. We were leaving for WDW on Wednesday and I was out of my mind. The doctor doubted that I'd be going, but after prayers and lots of pixie dust, I was on a plane to WDW on Wednesday and feeling great! Sending pixie dust!!

The last time my family went to WDW we all got the stomach flu. It was awful. My son then 2,at the airport. He just tossed his cookies all over all of his clothes. Even the spare set we brought with us and the very expensive outfit my husband bought him at the airport. The people around us on the plane were horrified. He just kept throwing up the whole way. Once we got there he was fine. That night my 4 old got sick. She had issues at both ends there is a free shuttle that will take you from your WDW hotel to a clinic that accepts most insurance cord will even stop at the drug store on the way back when you are done. DD got snots to stop the evacuation process and to help her be comfortable enough to enjoy the parks. The last day, my teen daughter and I both became ill and by the time our plane touched down at home, we had to be taken off the plane by EMS -so off to the hospital we went for IV's and tests. Gastro-intestinitis . I sure do hope this trip turns out better. I can't imagine trying to drive ham in that condition. I hope everyone feels better and y'all have wonderful trips!
