We are starting to get in the Disney Store 100th pins that we will be selling Sept 22. We also have the pin binders and bags. The bag has a really cool design on the front, in my opinion. These pins are heavier (thicker from front to back) than the Millenium set that we sold and they are in cool packaging. We don't have all of the first week's pins in yet, but we do have the No 1 which is a Walt and Mickey, and I think will be a really big hit. So, instead of a backwards countdown, this time we start at no. 1 and work our way to 100. Wonder if there will be any error pins this time.

Have not seen them in our store yet. Just the new magical moment pins came in at $8.00 a piece.
Do you know what the price of the pins are?????
We have pictures of the whole set. They really look great.

OK, let me state I am a lowely, bottom of the totem pole pt CM. I have no inside knowledge, except for what I have seen. :) We got in 4 of the first weeks pins. Why all the ones for the first week are not shipped together, I do not understand, but this is typical. The ones we got are not even in sequence. Think we got Nos 1, 4, 6 and maybe one other. Of the 3, I remember, No. 1 with Walt and Mickey was the nicest looking to me and the one that I think will be very, very popular. The price on the back of them is $4.00 - this is a good thing :D . I have not heard anything about the pin trading going on, but then I never hear about anything before it happens, so don't take that to mean anything.

Should all stores have them by now - who knows. We got almost 400 cases of shipment last week, which is very unusual for us, so I would so that if a store has not received them yet, it does not mean anything, yet.

Just a couple of questions about the pin bags.

Are they similar to the bags sold at DLR and WDW?

What size are the store bags?

Price?

Hope you don't mind the questions.

:)

I only got to look at the bag while still in it's plastic packaging that it is shipped in. It had a very attractive embroidered design on the front. It appears to be smaller than the large bag I got at WDW, but is certainly bigger than the small one they sold at first. It looked like it would hold a lot of pins. I am not sure about pockets/dividers on the inside, etc. I am not working again until Tuesday night, and I will check it out better then. I think the price was $24.00, but do not hold me to that. I was so stunned to see the binders and the bags there that and to hear that we had the pins that I didn't check for details. I had to get to work as we were really slammed on Saturday. It was like the day after Thanksgiving or Christmas.

Do you have any information on limits when it comes to buying the pins? Here's hoping they are limited to two or three per person, to give the average trader/collector a chance.
And if you've already received part of the first weeks' shipment (4 pins) do you have an idea as to how many will be released each week?

Hope this helps...

I've seen the binder (you won't be disappointed!)
It's priced @ $20.00

The pins will be released every Saturday. Starting Sept. 22nd.
I believe it's eight pins a week.

Since so many more people are collecting the pins, and no one
wants to miss the boat like the last time Millenium pins)
You can bet on Mob scenes that first day.

Don't hold me to this, but my understanding is that it will be a two
pin per person limit.
Which in reality, is what most pinheads are used to anyway.

The problem usually comes when people who don't even collect, get on
line because after all it must be something really good. And they have no
idea of the "personal value" that last pin has. Kinda like what happened
at Epcot.

This is going to be loads of fun! At @ $4.00 a pin....
Just share a big smile with your castmembers !

Happy trading & Buying.

Ok the question I really would like to have an answer on is are they going to be a Limited Edition.???? I doubt it but I wish they would be and not go the way of the disney store pins of the past being in the outlet stores.

Hopefully Disney learned from the Millenium pins ad is not making 1,000,000 of each pin. Probably more like 50,000 but it seems like there are ALOT of some of them out there!

Although the original Millennium store pins weren't limited, some are still trading very well. Some are even hard to find!

I have three malls with DS within 30 minutes of my house. I can only H O P E that it will help me find the pins I want before the stores are ransacked. But those should be a lot easier to just tell a friend to stop by a DS in another area and look them up for you. Of course, I'd be delighted to help those who have helped me obtain pins here find what they seek, if they became scarce.

What I hope they enforce at the DS is the limit of two per customer. But nothing stops a pinhead from coming back again and again. Now, is that a limit on two of the same or even two different pins? Will we be able to order them online as well?

Keep in mind the Hallmark b-day snowglobe is sold as an LE. But how many do you think there are when they are everywhere across the country?;) :jester:

THIS IS A GREAT POST. As a cast member we are usually the last to find out everything.
Well it looks like I will be working on the 22nd. That is a definate. If I know my boss she will already have bought the pins for me before I get into work.
She is like this so nice.
Sooooo maybe I will get to see some on you at the store. My name badge says Shirley not Shirley38

The pin bag looks to be about the size of a standard piece of copy paper, maybe a little bit bigger. It has a beautiful embroidery on the front of Mickey drawing a sketch of Walt and himself. The embroidery is huge and covers almost the entire front of the bag. There are 6 or 8 zippered pages, like the pin bags from WDW, and there is a cloth divider between the pages. The price is $24.00 I have to say that the bag is not as big as the last one that was being sold at WDW, but larger than the original pin bag. I cannot say how many pins it might hold, not good at guesstimating that kind of thing. It sue would make a good pintrading bag for the "small time" trader like myself that does not need a forklift to carry their pins around. :)

The pin book, $20.00, is similar to the first one we had at the Disney Store, except for the design printed on the front, which reflects "100 Years of Magic". Not much you can do to a pin binder to make it different.

My wife and I bought both the pin bag and binder at the Woodfield Mall in Chicago over the weekend. Both are very nice.

The outside of the pin bag is vinyl instead of the usual material.

The pages that the pins go on are all zippered pages, giving you plenty of room for storage. 12 pages, or six zippered compartments, with a cloth divider between pages.

The binder is really nice with the places for the pins being numbered 1-100.

The logo on the cover is super nice embroidery. I think most will be very happy with both.

You know my boss took a picture of the pins coming in. Well as it turns out she did not get the first batch in the picture. All I can remember is " this is for your barb" Pooh with a balloon.

How are you buying this bag already? It is not supposed to be on the floor until Sep 22. Did they have the pins out, too?
