I have purchased park tickets, when should I reserve rides?

As per title, I have purchased 4 days of park tickets for 2nd week of April, have selected parks per date but when should I reserve the rides?
Mornings? or just wing it? or is lightening lanes necessary?

You can no longer "reserve" rides in advance. Unless I am misunderstanding your question. If you purchase Genie+, you will be able to start making Lightning Lane selections the morning of your park day, but not before.
