Okay, so I decided the week before last to go to WDW for my family's first time this upcoming Sept (taking advantage of free dining); I made the actual package ressies and ADRs last week.
All this time I've been thinking it'd be great for my mil to come with us. Okay, that probably sounds crazy, but this woman is my best friend (that sounds even crazier) and she loves all things Disney. She's never been to WDW, though. She can't make it in Sep (she was the sole caregiver for her mom who recently died of cancer and resigned from her job to do it) because she's currently looking for employment. I've been feeling really bad about us going without her (dh is an only child, btw), and I've deliberately withheld most of our plans about the trip from her because I know she'd love to be there and is probably sad about not being able to go. I just don't want to hurt her feelings, kwim?
Well ... I just emailed her asking her if she might be up for a trip next Christmas. I'm waiting to hear back. As dh is an only child and our kids are the only grandkids and she loves spending time with us and loves Disney, what could be a better Christmas gift to her?
I'm nuts! I'm not done with planning my first visit to the World, and here I am making plans for a second visit (although trying not to plan too much until I know if she's up for going). Oh, and dh has no idea about this recently hatched idea!
Anyone else like this? Nuts I tell ya ... Nuts!
