I have nothing from Disney

We leave on Monday and the only thing we have is our reciept from CAA. Our travel rep phoned them on Friday and they said they sent it out and it should have arrived already. Well she phoned us yesterday and said they would resend it. What are the chnaces it will come in by Friday???

Our TA said that she would give us everything she has and the only thing we need is our reservation number but I would feel a lot more comfortable going with my actual info in hand. Not to mention we had planned on using ME and without any tags I wonder if we are even booked with that.

Getting definate jitters here.
 
First things first, RELAX, don't let your vacation get you stressed.
Call WDW reservations, although you booked with a TA you should check if they have you in the system, you have your reservation # so that is good, since you are staying onsite your room keycard is you park ticket also so you can make sure your park tickets are fine and any other parts of your package if you have any.
About ME, without tags you cannot use ME. The tags go on your luggage at home before you check in at the airport. When you talk to Disney on the phone ask about that, I have heard people getting tags set 24-hour express mail in your situation. I don't know. You NEED the tags though, with the tags comes your "boarding pass" for ME, without tags Disney does not transfer your luggage to your resort and you cannot bring your "non-carryon" luggage on the bus.

-Confirm your resevation and ALL components of your package.
-Ask about ME and where the heck your tags are!
Politly and firmly tell them they need to be sent express mail.
Make sure they have the right flight info also on your tags (flight numbers)
-If ME falls through I would go on the transportation board on this site and find out your best options for other transportation, rental car, towncar service, another shuttle company like MEARS.

I'm not an ME expert by any means, but I've seen posts where people said they used ME without their tags arriving. Something about placing a yellow ribbon of any sort on your luggage and describing the luggage to the ME people when checking in at the airport. You might want to ask if this is still possible, just in case.
 
My inlaws are flying in from England and Disney does not send ME tags to those overseas, you have to bring your baggage claim tickets with you when you check in and then they go get your bags for you. I would suspect that would also work with folks coming in from the states as well.

Call Disney and see what they have to say...

Don't worry! If you have your reservation number you may be able to pull up your information online. Try here,

If you are not registered just sign up, it is easy, then you can enter your reservation # and hopefully pull up your information. Otherwise perhaps call the TA again and see if they can fax or e-mail you something to confirm the resort/package part of the trip.

If you can get your information online you can make sure you are signed up for ME and that your flight and resort information is correct. If it isn't correct just change it online or call the number provided.

You absolutely, positively CAN use ME even if you don't have your voucher and or bag tags. Ours got mailed to the wrong address so I just went to the ME desk at MCO and they printed one out for me. You have to check into the ME desk anyway so it wasn't any problem.

You also CAN have your luggage delived via ME even if you don't have your tags. Just tag them with your name, and keep the bag check claims from the airlines. Disney can locate your luggage via the airline tags and transport them for you. If you can take a digital picture to show the CM's that helps as well but its not necessary.

If you prefer you CAN bring your bags on with you if you choose to claim them from the baggage carosel yourself. The driver will load them under the ME bus when you board and unload them for you when you arrive. We choose this option in October because we arrived fairly late in the evening and with young kids I didn't want to wait for luggage via ME.

1, yes you can use ME without tags.
Just tag your luggage with your name and resort and keep the claim checks from the airline. When you check in at the ME desk give them the claim check form the airline and describe your luggage. It will be transported via ME and delivered to your room later in the day.

2. If you don't receive the package in the mail, you may get your voucher or "boarding pass" to ride ME by simply checking in at the ME desk in MCO. They will verify your information and print you a new voucher for both legs of the trip.

3. You can bring your "non carryon" luggage on the ME bus if you wish. Simply pick it up yourself at baggage claim, check in with ME and when you board the bus the driver will load it underneath for you.

We did numbers 2 and 3 in October and 3 again in December.

Sorry, not trying to post incorrect info :blush: , I have just read posts about people getting to MCO thinking they could get on and they couldn't and people having no luggage their entire trip. If you say this is possible good :thumbsup2 , I know they have worked alot of bugs out since its origin. I hope all works out well. ME was very orginized for us and we loved it. I still would like to stress to the OP to verify with disney before going just to make sure. :hippie:
