Let's assume that you're new to the site, new to message boards, and want to plan a trip to Disney World for you and your family. Here's what I would do.

Go to the resorts board and post some specific questions on resorts-- price, ameneties, location, and so on.

Go to the restaurants baoard and post any questions about the meal plans, character meals, or restaurants.

Go to the family board and post about kid-related stuff.

Go to the transportation board and post questions about flights, DME, and so on.

That should probably get you started.
