Please help me take out 2 of my reservations (I have a DH who loves steak and hates fish, I love steak and chicken and my boys love most any food, except fish). The boys are 3 and 6yrs.

All are dinner reservations, except Tusker (BK)

Tusker
Crystal Palace
Chefs De France..how is the food here?
Mama Melrose fantasmic Package
50's Prime Time
Hoop Dee Doo
Coral Reefe
Garden Grill
OHana's
Chef Mickey
1900 Park Fare

For me it would be Tusker and Chefs De France...I also have two boys and there wouldn't be a thing for them to eat in France and we hate to do a big breakfast so that's why I'd get rid of Tusker...I have eaten at all of them and the rest on your list are all kid friendly with a good variety of food choices. My personal fave is OHana..whatever you do, don't get rid of that one.:thumbsup2

Coral Reef for sure, no seafood lovers (and CR's seafood isn't that good) and you can view the aquarium without eating at CR. Then I'd get rid of 1 character meal, IMHO Garden Grille as I've neither seen nor heard anything special about it. Also, isn't 1900 Park Faire geared more toward girls?

My two boys would definitely pick Garden Grill over Chefs so I would recommend too getting rid of Chefs for the boys' sake. Then my recommendation would be to get rid of one of the character buffets (CP, CM or 1900 park fare). I haven't been to any for dinner but my guess is that they'd all be pretty similar in terms of food offerings, so doing all 3 might be overkill...perhaps decide in terms of the characters you like best/least or in terms of travel time for wherever you happen to be...

I would take out Coral Reef and Chef Mickey's. If you haven't viewed the menus, check them out at allears.net and that may help you decide as well.

This is an easy answer, Tusker house & Coral Reef. The food was just ok at the Tusker House & Coral Reef just wnet down hill the last few years

Love Tusker House breakfast our favorite, going again this year.

I would choose, Chef Mickey( wouldn't eat dinner there) and as much as I liked 1900 Park Fare, my son did not care at all about the character, too girly.Actually was embarrased when stepsister joked with him, it was funny though.

As much as I like Chefs de France, I'd take it out for your family. I wouldn't think it would appeal to your boys. Other than that, I'd take out one of the Character meals. Aren't you going to see basically the same characters at Chef Mickey's & Tusker House?

I would ax Coral Reef and 50's Prime Time...and I would switch Mama Melrose package to Brown Derby.(not that you asked that LOL)

I wouldn't drop Chef Mickey's for anything if this is your first time there. The food is definitely not 5 star, but the experience and fun is a must, especially with a 3 and 6 yo. My kids look forward to it for every trip and usually want to go more than once. It's not always all about the food. :goodvibes

Chefs de France does have food for kids and if you go when "Remy" comes out, the kids will love it. I think he comes out at 12pm and 5pm.

I've gone to 50's Prime Time several times and only had one good experience. I think you could skip it with a 3 and 6yo. They don't get the whole "50's" thing, and it is hit or miss whether or not you get a good waiter who will make it fun.

I'd cancel Garden Grill and probably 'Ohana. 'Ohana is good but the rumor is that they're currently experiencing ridiculous wait times. That's the only reason Id cancel that one.

i gotta keep coral reefe, my boys love the idea of the fish tank.

I've heard it looses it novelty super quickly. LOL Not an overly kid-friendly restaurant and expensive.
You can also see the fish tank, along with heaps of other fish tanks in Living with the Seas. My kids love that area.

I agree with these two. I can't stomach Chef Mickey, and Coral Reef is fish, which noone in your party likes.
Tusker House is BY FAR my favorite breakfast! If you cut that one you'll really be missing out!

I would get rid of Chef Mickeys and 50s Prime Time - def the worst meals of our last trip. Our kids loved Coral Reef (none of us eat fish) and Chefs,
Claire

IMO Crystal Palace is a MAD HOUSE at dinner to the point where you get minimal character time and you have to wait long past your ADR time. Also, 1900 Park Fare may seem a bit too girly for your boys. Plus, you don't want to have too many character meals. So I would drop those two.

We've eaten at most of your destinations. I would definately keep Chefs De France, the food is wonderful and so is the atmosphere. My wife and I loved the food and so did our 3 children. Ohana's is a family must, the food is excellent and is mostly "meat." The entertainment is great, very festive atmosphere. Garden Grill has great Chicken, fish and vegetables so not sure if your steak eating husband will enjoy. We did the Mama Melrose fantasmic package last April and the food was alright. I'd keep the rez simply cuz your other choices for the dinner package are not much better. 50's prime time has a great meatloaf dish and is fun! I would drop Coral Reef (average food good atmosphere) and Tusker (average food and average atmosphere), The other

Can I change my vote to dropping Coral Reef too instead of Chefs de France? Chefs is good and my boys enjoyed it (although they enjoyed Ohanas, 50s PT, Garden Grill & Tusker house more)... didn't notice before that you had Coral Reef on there and since your family doesn't eat fish, I think that's your best one to eliminate. I still would keep Garden Grill - they do have flank steak in addition to the chicken and fish so I think your steak-loving husband would like it.
