Not 100% sure but I think it is in a shop on Main Street first thing in the morning? You would have to be the first family there, and I think the kids get to tap on Tink's box or something and there is a light effect/ fairy flying thing that happens and the kids get a "magical moment" certificate or some such thing. This is the little I know from what I have heard about it, hopefully someone else can give you more specifics.:goodvibes

I haven't heard about the "Waking Tink" part, but if you go to Tinkerbell's Treasures in Fantasyland (cut through the Castle from Main Sreet, it's right where Cinderella's Fountain is) you can "see" Tink flitter about the shop. Listen for the sound of her bells and then look at the top of the walls, near where they join the ceiling. Also, as you face the cash register( I think there's only one), to your right is a vanity with a keyhole in it. Look into the keyhole, and at some point as Tink is making her way around the room, you will see a flash of light as she stops in there for a moment (this part takes a bit of patience). My 5 year old was VERY impressed with this, in fact wanted to stay in the shop for quite a long time to try and actually "see" Tink rather than just her fairy dust trail. I confess I enjoyed it quite a bit myself! Again, I can't confirm the "Waking Tink" part, but it does sound like something they would do, so as you would probably (if you have small ones) be heading to Fantasyland first anyway, I would make an effort to stop at Tink's Treasures first. Then you can let us know if you had the magical moment!

Yes! This is the shop u wake tink in. Just try to be there first in the morning and ask about it! Good Luck:thumbsup2

my dd did this !! ask in the shop and if no-one else has done it you can wake -up tink.....it involves some noise and wand waving and then you get a certificate to say you woke up tink:)

As you can see from my number of posts, I'm not really new here. I even have one trip under my belt. :goodvibes You would think I had heard of this but tonight is the 1st reference I have ever seen. It sounds really cool. Tink is my favorite. I'll have to remember this for my DD (who will be 10) to do next Oct. Ok, Ok. It's really for me. But don't we ALL live through our children?!

We're going again on Thursday and this time we actually are there a day when they have the early opening. So we're going run like heck through the park to try to get it. I hope we can this time...we've tried before, but no luck. My daughter has been waiting to do it for a long time and if we can get Grandma and Grandpa to move it, we hope we can make it! LOL

We did it in August. We actually were the second people there. The CM there felt bad because the one who actually got there first and got to wake Tink was not a child. After they left, they put Tink back to sleep and allowed my daughter to wake Tink up again, telling her that she wasn't ready to get up for the first person. We took her picture she wave the wand and she got a certificate for the scrapbook.

How neat!!!!!!!!! I will have to remember that the next time we go. My grandsons would get a kick out of that, and of course I would also.

Does anyone know if they do this at DL? We go there quite a lot and have never heard of it. Dd would love it though. Not sure when we will get to WDW.

Well, we were late waking her again. We had the early magic hours this morning and got to the store at 8:33 and someone was there at 8am. I don't even know how they got there that early when it opened at 8. We were bummed, but we did get to see her through the keyhole in the dresser. It was raining and miserable and cold, so we were only there for about an hour.

That's sooo neat! I have never heard of it either. It's on Disboards now though, so the secret is out! Can't wait to try it the next time we go....cross your fingers for free dining in september!

Yes, this is fun! We happened to do it last trip. We got there at 8:10 and she was still "asleep." DD didn't want to do it, so DS did - they brought out a sword for him to use!

I don't believe they do this at DL - I checked in the Once Upon a Time shop in Fantasyland this past summer and they didn't have Tink " flying " there, although I didn't ask.

Just a quick question, I have 2 DD's could they do it together and both get a certificate? You know what sibling rivalry between 2 girls is like!!!!

Yes, they will do that if you ask. Although DD was too "shy" at the moment, they gave her one, as well.

Waking Tink - Here you'll see parents at its worst. At rope drop by the castle at start of the day, I saw parents pushing each other to get their kids to the store first. I saw a mother holding back someone else's kid so her own kid can get their first. It's a mad rush and dash to the store of insane parents. Parents screaming on top of their lungs telling their kids to RUN RUN RUN and then curse at them when they don't make it in time.

It's not a fun scene. I wouldn't subject young kids to it.

You can see "Tink" at any time of the day in the store and my then DD2 spent like 15 minutes looking into the keyhole. Every time Tink appears, she jumps up in joy.

That's horrible! Maybe it wasn't like that the day we were there because it was an EMH. We even rode Bizz first before going there!

I'm sorry that you had to see that. No fun all around.:sad2:

So the Store is called "Tinkerbell's Treasures"? Can someone tell me where it is exactly? We have an ADR ar Crystal Palace at 9:15 am (not an extra magic hour day). Could we get in early because of our reservation and wait in front of the store until the park opens at 9am? My DD3 would flip out if she could do that! Would we have enough time to get to the Cyrstal Palace for our reservation?

It is on your left-hand side as you exit the castle into Fantasyland. Yes, you should have enough time if you have a 9:15 ressie, but if you really want to do this, try to get there eariler and wait because other people may have the same idea.

Good Luck!
