In the last month my car has been hit 3 times... Once I was slammed into while stopping for a pedestrian, which gave me whiplash, minimum damage... a scratch and a tiny dent, this was 3 weeks ago. Second time I was bumped while stopping for a pedestrian no damage he was going very very slow... that was last weekend. Then last night I am walking to my car I see 4 scrapes on the left bumper... HELLO... what the heck people...

this is the devil car... I need to get rid of it... freaking jinxed thing. Grrrr...

Sorry to hear you're having a bad luck streak. :( Better days have to be coming soon.:D

YOu need to do what my mom did, make sure you get hit from different directions, so it's a new car. J/K I hope the third time is it!

I hope this is it! 2 years ago - I had a streak like that! 1st someone tried to pry open my trunk, leaving the top of it all bent. A week later someone hit the car and took off causing me to have to replace a side pannel, before I even got those things fixed, I backed up into a BUILDING!!!  - Don't ask how I managed that one! I have no Idea! Anyways - it's been fine since then!

The problem is...it's leased... and I just got the darn thing 7 months ago.... grrrr

Oddly enough I feel like I caused these accidents myself... the first two happened right after I got done yelling at someone... YIKES... talk about karma...

~meagan- who is no longer getting mad at anyone~

Well, on a Stephen King note, you don't call it Christine, do you?? :o)

That actually happens to me my middle name... LMAO...

We were calling her Jet because well she's black and shes a jetta but I think I might start calling it "the Magnet"

My mom said though... you know how things come in 3's?... well she said since they got less and less severe each time and there was 3.. I should be done... I sure hope shes right and that it isnt the calm bofre the BIG ONE.... ahhhh

Poor little car, sounds like it's being stalked :(

maybe the scrapes on the left bumper are from another pesky pedestrian you didnt see, it would be to easy to talk about women drivers in this thread

long post

I am sorry about your car :( It seems like your Mom is right though about the 3 thing . I hope that things get better very soon !!!!

Sounds familiar. I think my car is a magnet too.

We bought our car in Feb 1998. We were parked for a parade and didn't notice until we got back home that the front bumper had been clipped. It was damaged severely enough to warrant $800 in damage for a new bumper cover and headlight. Since it was "hit and run" we had to fork over the money to have it repaired. 6 months later, in September, I went school shopping for DD and was rear-ended when traffic abruptly stopped for a red light. I stopped quickly, leaving at least one car length in front of me. The car behind me didn't squealed to a halt and rear-ended me. Another $400 damaged, this time all in the rear.
Fast forward three years- In June 2001 DH dropped off a coworker after work and on his way home was invlolved in an accident, causing a good deal of damage to the front end (again).
We were fortunate to have been involved with a driver with the same insurance, therefore waiving the deductible. We didn't pay a dime for repairs- TG because it was over $2000. Then in November 2001 I pulled out from a side street, between two traffic lights. I see that both lights are red for the street I'm tunring on, but as I'm turning left I see a car approaching. I sped up, but she still caught my left rear. Neither driver was "at fault", so we have the burden of a $500 deductible to fix the damage, which is cosmetic.

So I wonder, with 2004 being three years since the last incident, will the car get hit again? We keep saying that if it does, it had better be enough damage to "total" the car. It's already had enough damage in its life to pay for half of it.
