Sam, I am so sorry. Dads are so special. I lost my dad to cancer in 2001. I still miss him everyday, but that sharp, awful grief has been replaced by the warmth of his memory and the knowledge that he is still with me in so many ways.

I am so sorry.

My father passed away October 4, 2008. I am so lost without him. I feel so bad most days, I still can't talk much about him without crying. I was daddy's girl. He passed away right after I kissed him and told him I loved him. I know he waited for me. He was 81.

Sam I am sorry to hear of your Father's passing. He sounded like a remarkable man with his courage and fight. It isn't easy to lose a loved one. Many hugs and prayers. The 4th was 3 years that I lost my father. I was a daddy's girl who was born on Father's Day. He also gave me my first camera. I have been down about it. And you are right, the boards with the photos here can help sometimes... as does the care of others with the love of Disney.

Last week was my father's birthday; the 5th since his death in 2003 and for some reason it really hit me harder than usual. We weren't especially close but I am wiping tears as I write this. I like to think that as long I remember him he is still here. My heart goes out to you.

Sam I am very sorry for your loss. Did you by chance take that picture?

I really wished I had taken it but since it was a an official party function, it was the Prime Minister's personal photographer that took it.

That is one hard job to get. Some of this country's best photographers have been Official Prime Minister Photographers.


The leader of the opposition (like the leader of the opposition in your state) came to his funeral. He saw the party pin on my Dad's lapel and told me he approved. It was my idea. He laughed and said he wished everyone was as passionate about politics as my Dad was. I told him I would try...
