I have finally found some Nerds! (The sweet brand)

When I was younger I loved the brand of sweet "Nerds" was always buyable from little corner shops. Then when I grew up, they went away...

I had no idea why they left, but I was able to get them in the states. I looked everywhere to go get some Nerds in the UK, but nothing.

I had lost all hope; the corner shop that sold them when I was a kid is gone and is replaced with a Tesco Express. When I went to the Bluewater shopping mall, I found them! I bought loads of them, but the price has gone up to 99p a box!

The lady at the counter said that Nerds are getting scare, and becuase of it more expensive. I doubt they will be in the UK for long though; no-one that's fond of them.

Be sure to buy Nerds to support the cause!

I love these! I found some in a shop at Old Town this year and bought up several packs. One of the boxes must have leaked in the suitcase as I've been finding Nerds in my clothes ever since!!

From memory, they are a small box about the size of a ciggarette packet, with a tear off opening at the top on each side. The internals of the packet are split down the middle to enable 2 seperate flavours that dont get mixed.
Inside they are like small tic-tacs but with a sour flavour.
I think they appeared around the mid 80's from what I remember...I used to buy them quite a lot when I was younger.

Thats bang on Tron....the writing is black. My son had a packet last night (now I am wondering if our local corner shop is selling 'out of date stock'....I wouldnt put it pass the owner!!!)
