I have asked this before...even on the tech board...someone must know how to fix

I am missing almost all of the smilies! I know that sounds weird, but the smilies just aren't showing up on my screen. For example, right now while I am typing this post, there are only 5 smilies showing up as options. If I choose "more", I get 16 total options plus all of the WISH board banners. What the heck is going on? It is irritating because I miss when someone is using a sarcasm smilie. If I "quote" someone, I can see the text of the smilie, but the smilie itself doesn't show up in the posting.

Please someone tell me if this can be fixed. I know, I know...not the end of the world type problem, just annoying.

Try rebooting your computer. Also, there is a new updated version of Foxfire. Maybe try downloading & installing that. It only takes a couple minutes to download & install. You don't have to uninstall the old version. It does it all automatically.

Thanks. This has actually been going on for months. Been through several reboots and Firefox updates. It is totally BIZARRE!

Maybe check some of those buttons up in the grey bar at the top. maybe you accidentally turned off some graphics on websites.

There's one button to check:
Click on Tools.
Then click on Page Info
Then click Media
Make sure the little box at the bottom where it says
"Block all images from www.wdwinfo.com" is UNchecked.

If nothing that imzadi suggests works, try uninstalling and reinstalling firefox.

You'll need to use control panel >> add and remove programs to uninstall it completely. If during your uninstall it gives you a checkbox that says something like "remove all settings and preferences and blah blah" go ahead and check it (or uncheck depending on how it's phrased) -- you want to start completely anew.

Then go to the official page for firefox, download the newest version, and install it. See if your smilies are magically there.

It seems likely that there is some kind of setting or something messed up ... rather than track it down (pain in butt), I'd just uninstall/reinstall. FWIW, I'm an IT person and also lazy, so most of the time I go the uninstall/reinstall route and it fixes most everything without me having to figure out exactly what the issue is.

Well, crap on a cracker! That worked. It is all back. Thank you so much. Exactly the info that I have needed for months. I can now go to bed happy (well, I would have anyway, but you get the idea).
